Hot or Not Regular Season Week 1
What a week it was, I am literally embarassed right now sitting here writing this, and as such will be getting the source of my embarassment out of the way first.
Quicksand vs Lego -
It started out as a regular day in the trenches, Quicksand was talking shit to Lego, Lego wasn't saying anything because they knew it was true, and all was well and good. Little did we know that the first game of the regular season would be our regular scheduled loss to a terrible squad with losses in the past including Squad!! and United Force. The match started out slow with neither team really getting aggressive, partially because of Izor and Raazi sitting on the bench thinking that even lowly Ward could win the game. However halfway through the game it was much closer than anticipated, Let was wrecking shop, and Ward was playing terribly. Quicksand tried to solve the problems with a flurry of substitutions with Izor coming in for Kid Kaos and Raazi coming in for Ward, however it was too little too late. Well actually it wasn't too little too late. It was a piss poor performance from Izor himself as he starts his first ever post final choking career off with a meager 2-3 against a squad he couldn't even bring himself to play against. Myself, the Squad, and the Zone can only hope Izor manages to swallow his ego as well as he swallowed several angry whoppers a day over the course of several years.
Final Score: Quicksand: 46 - Lego: 50
Hot - Let
Not - Izor/Raazi
Fierce vs Spastic -
It is really hard to write a meaningful paragraph about this game, it wasn't even much of a game, it stayed close for the first two or three minutes and then the "Dangerous D's(lol gay)" being Deez Nuts, Death Row, and Dak started the rape fest that ended the game with Spastic only managing to get 19 kills. To be completely fair two players did sorta stand out in the game. The first was PL who despite having no team was actually playing a pretty decent game, his 5-10 record could have easily been even or better if his team wasn't being systematically sent back to spawn with a barrage of slow strays and whatnot. The other was Geio who was lucky to go positive against Spastic, I believe he was 3-5 at one point before the better players on his rustled him up a few kills on a silver platter. Also props to Dak for the 2fer.
Final Score: Fierce: 50 - Spastic: 19
Hot - The Dangerous D's
Not - Everyone except PL on Spastic
Penetrate vs Potenza -
What was probably the game of the week (atleast from the games I saw) started out fairly slowly with both teams randomly tossing strays hither and thither hoping for a kill. Ricko started out 0-4 but it was balanced out by QPR going 1-5 and in what might have actually caused penetrate to lose subbed him out for l2kill. While Ricko slowly made a recovery QPR's sub made a discovery, it was that he fucking sucked balls. Within minutes l2kill was out of the game with another 1-5 which opened up Penetrate to exploit Iron Survivor's only weakness, being spawn raped 4v1. It really was a shame because Iron was having a great game up until that point being one of the two people on Potenza along with Echo who was doing much of anything. Lets see what else happened, Casket played like a huge pussy, Creature hit a 2fer, Tarnish tried to kill Creature because he was mad about the 2fer instead of shooting a completely negged Peru who ended up staying in the game on 9 for like 8 minutes while he managed to get several kills. It was still a good game up until about the 40 mark, It seems like at that point Potenza gave up and Penetrate just started pack rushing the shit out of anyone unfortunate enough to be left alive. But the final score in this game doesn't tell the story of the game very well as it was much closer than it says.
Final Score: Penetrate: 50 - Potenza: 38
Hot - Creature ended the game with 13 kills which was huge in this game and got that really nice 2fer which boosted his teams morale. Not - Qpr/L2kill for dropping 2-10 really killed Potenza's chances for winning this game, and they definitely had a chance.
Hit vs Real -
First off I want to thank a2m for taking notes on this game for me as I wasn't able to watch it in person thanks to being one of the two on my squad that managed to go positive against Lego.
A2m - "Ricko> VENTRILO TACTICS = FAIL
This pretty much sums up this game. There were murmurs before the game that golden duck was being benched because he wouldn't sign on ventrillo but that didn't happen probably because welt wasn't online to go 1-7 and get subbed in his place. Luckily for hit, they didn't bench him as he was one of the few guys on their team who put up a respectable score, being positive for most of the game until his team died around him. This game was actually pretty close with leads being exchanged until Keith died out at 3-10. Then LaSenza's "hide behind your team" tactics hindered any chance hit had at winning as his team was picked off 1 by 1 by scoop and burnt.
Final Score Hit: 39 - Real: 50
HOT - Scoop for pushing the action and ending with a 13-8. Burnt ended up with a better score but Scoop pushed the action, running circles around them and making for easy vulches for the rest of his team.
NOT - Keith for going 3-10 and dying out first, rendering the rest of his team useless due to their style. I was ready to put hit as a squadron here for benching golden duck for the stupidest reason ever before they wised up and put him in."
Thunder vs Dice -
I don't really have many notes from this one as the only person who sorta watched the game was Ease himself, so he left me a message and we also talked for a couple of seconds.
[Feb 12 16:21] Ease: game was over fast...mega and a2m out early and it wasn't really close all game, pulled away from the very beginning.....vys last in at 1 7 when his team died out
Kthx> got it.
Welcome To Trenchwars
(Ease)>a2m was 1-9 pretty quickly into the game too
:Ease: k.
(Ease)>but he stayed alive until megaman died out
:Ease: about when.. 8 minute mark?
(Ease)>probably sooner tbh
(Ease)>6 minutes is my guess
:Ease: heh alright.
Not much I can really say about it since I didn't see it, but I am assuming that vys turned into TWL mode and hid behind his team while straying instead of rushing.
Hot - I can only assume CrimsonX for dropping 14 himself.
Not - I can only assume Vys/a2m for dropping 6-20
-----
Overall Hot - I am going to have to go with Creature here as he put up 13 in an insanely close game and changed the momentum with a 2fer, Congratulations.
Overall Not - Izor for dropping 2-3 vs Lego and then blaming me after the game while dropping 11-10's. GG Faggot.
