Another relatively boring week of LJ, except for one major choke.
Without further ado, let the trolling begin:
Game of the Week: Fierce vs. Dice
Fierce 44, Dice 50
Fierce: Children, havok, Rough, Apok, Marge
Dice: Cape, megaman89, Stayon, Tiny, Domi
Fierce, are you guys okay?!?!?!?!?!? Seriously, what an awful choke. This game started out heavily in Fierce's favor as they took a commanding lead early in the game. This can be attributed to Domi's 1-5 as he looked lost without a terr in the arena. Children was actively rushing for the early parts and continued pressure somewhat as the match progressed. However, once the game was about 15 minutes in Fierce almost collectively decided to start choking. Megaman led the effort with his random warbird shots, supported by Stayon's perma-headband. Havok, the sole reason more javs didn't join Fierce before the soft-lock, was forced to shut his mouth with an abysmal 2-6 and had to be subbed out for Eelam (who should have started in my opinion as he brings pressure, albeit suicidal at times). This was not enough as a2m's clutch 8-5 sub helped Dice overcome an early deficit. This loss was more so Fierce's fault than Dice's doing. Dice merely capitalized on Fierce's heavy freefall mid game and didn't look back. As of right now Fierce is no longer a LJ contender. This performance solidifed the preceeding.
HOT: a2m with an 8-5 sub. Its hard to come in and swing a win for your team when momentum is not at all with your squad.
NOT: havok 2-6. This was potentially a breakout game for you, as Dice's early struggles gave you an ample window to prove yourself and back up all the talking you do.
Juans v. Real
Juans 36, Real 50
Juans: Alef Juan, healt, John Juan, Roiwerk, Shivah
Real: Rule, 24, amnesti, Sika, Reaver
Silly me, I thought Juans could surprise Real and give Real its first test in LJ this season. Alas, this was not the case. From the beginning Juans were very fragmented. Roiwerk led this effort with his relentless back-pedalling and self serving agenda of trying to be last in and having a respectable rec. I seldom saw him help his team and the one time I did catch him trying to exert some effort to retrieve his teammate from a 4v1, he merely flew in and got bulleted to death. Sika was busy running around as usual with his warbird shots that are lagged to hell, straying people to death. 24 rounded the effort with a strong headband performance. Rule even went positive again for the second week in a row (?) Overall, a poor performance from the squad filled with mediocre jav talent. My recommendation? Next week don't add Roiwerk, add your next best jav, and see how exponentially better you guys team.
HOT: 24 14-4. Someone get this guy a towel and a protein shake. He must be depleted
NOT: Roiwerk 5-10. You are awful, and you are nothing but a cancer to your team.
Thunder vs. Penetrate
Thunder 50 , Penetrate 29
Thunder: Tsunami, Ease, Flared, zidane, Phrenitis
Penetrate: Creature, Trasher, Lionheart, Wax, Acidbomber
This wasn't much of a game. Despite a slow start, Thunder held momentum and dominated Penetrate. Creature went out with a slow 3-10, and Acidbomber's 0-5 didn't help either. This game saw 4 out of 5 Thunder javs netting 10+ kills while the 5th, zidane, was flying around luring for the rest of the team. This felt more like a JD at 3 AM than an LJ.
HOT: zidane 6-6; but lured for everyone. Also nice 3-fer catch, fgt. And;
struck: 1:Ease> give struck hot 4 threatening to quit squad 5000x
1:Ease> while passing out gatorade
NOT: Rasaq, for spawning me, you dik.
Heist vs. Potenza
Heist 50, Potenza 40
Heist: aprix, Crazy Canockout, lz, Mhz, torcher
Potenza: forces, Lag Killer, qpr, Supreme Authority
This game was absolutely boring and was a prime example of how awful javs can be in the right (or wrong) hands. Both teams have not realized that the control button is useless in most situations. At any rate, the game was pretty close early on with a few lead changes. However, qpr started to suicide real early and got behind on the kill count allowing Heist to apply pressure (the little that they do). Subsequently CC went out with a very soft 5-10, and qpr followed faring no better with a 6-10. It is important to note that forces (Potenza's #1 jav in my opinion) was subbed out with a 0-4. This was crucial as forces usually sets the tempo and supports his team. With him out, Spyre had to step into his shoes, and I don't even know who in the hell this guy is, let alone have an assessment of his javelin capabilities. Heist ended up pulling this one out with torcher lobbing random strays and lz somehow pulling 15 kills out of his ass.
HOT: Supreme Authority 15-10, sole reason why this game was somewhat close for Potenza
NOT: forces 0-4. Potenza can't have you having an off week if they are to pull off some wins in the remainder of this LJ season.
Edit: NOT: Qpr 6-10. If you had played slow you could have allowed your team to continue 5v4 after CC went out.
Hit vs. LEGO
Hit 32, Lego 50
Hit: Paradise, LaSenza, Heisman, crazyfuk, Tomas Hakke
Lego: Zizzo, Sakke, Mikkiz, Rendered, dreamwin
LaSenza, after a 20 kill performance against BadSand in LD, couldn't quite pull it together for this LJ as he was subbed out with an 0-4. Sakke, in an effort to redeem his terrible performance from last week, MVP'd today with an easy 11-3. Hit was never really in this match to begin with, and having Paradise subbed out, Hit's only jav was no longer in play, allowing Zizzo's warbird strays to allot him 9 kills. Dreamwin lagged his way to an 11-6 and solidified this otherwise easy win for Lego.
HOT: Sakke 11-3, and a redemption of last week
NOT: Crazyfuk 4-10.
