TWLJ Quarter-Finals Hot or Not
Sweet vs. Revenge
Round 1

This was a tight match that went down to the wire and Dreamwin (12-10) and co. matched wits with a sensational Marge (14-8), who managed to stay alive on 9 for almost half the match and dropping an absolute clutch 5 kills in that span, leading Vitja (14-8), hulk (8-10), Eelam (7-10) and Riverside (6-9).
Hulk also had a strong game, although died a bit prematurely, whilst Vitja was a force all game. Riverside lacked kills but managed to team and stay alive on 9.
The story of Round 1, however, was Dreamwin, as he, like Spartacus before him, led a rag-tag band against the might of Rome, darting into the fray outnumbered, killing off players on 9, and escaping with life intact as he danced and weaved across the playing field. maketso (9-10) also had a good game, while Zizzo (8-10) and Mikkiz (8-10) were serviceable.
Sakke was an absolute trainwreck, however, going an abysmal 3-10. And even worse, dying out before even 50% of the match was completed, costing Dudgeon the game.
HOT: Marge, sizzling 14-9 and a rapacious 5 kills on 9.
HOT: dreamwin, just an absolute juggernaut in ship 2, showing why he finished #1 in kills in TWLJ this season
NOT: Sakke, just a brutal performance.
50-46
Round 2
The Round 1 loss absolutely killed Dudgeon's momentum and spirit, and they faded off into the horizon with a whimper, with only Dreamwin (8-10) putting up respectable numbers, as Sakke amassed back-to-back 3-10s, while maketso (4-10), Mikkiz (4-10), and Zizzo (5-10) fared little better against the Sweetums onslaught.
Triple-threat Riverside led the way with a back-breaking 14-5, with great outings from Eelam (10-6) and Hulk (10-8), while Vitja almost notched the ace, going 6-1, and Marge cleaning up with a solid 7-7.
This was a disappointing end to a fantastic LJ season from Dudgeon, who finished with a stellar 9-2 record, and sad for Dumbwin fans who enjoyed watching him play.
Sweet asserted themselves after a mediocre regular season, and look to go into the Semis full-steam ahead.
50-30
Revenge vs. Fierce
Round 1

While Mean Gene (12-9) and Rendered (10-9) have been a fierce tandem, leading Revenge all season, it was Cranium (11-10) that was turning heads, amassing highlight reel shots and starting off with a blistering 10-6, leading Revenge the majority of the game as they traded leads with Fierce up until 47-47 in a riveting match.
Skatarius was clutch in the end, scoring a great 10-9, while Zazerick was passable with a sub-par 6-10.
Meanwhile, Paradise subbed out early due to lag troubles, as evaden (12-9) stepped up in a huge way, having a fantastic game off the bench as he and 24 (12-10) took control of Fierce's fortunes and played solid for most of the match, until 24 died out to 1mph per hour MG bullets, giving Revenge a 1-man advantage and sealing the deal late on. Deez Nuts (12-10) was also strong the whole game.
Tiny was absolutely horrendous, finishing with a Sakke-like 4-10, while arsen fared slightly better with a 6-10.
This went down to the bitter end as Revenge clawed their way back from a 2-3 kill deficit late on with three players on 9 to finally clinch it on a pair of skatarius kills.
Round 2
Fierce was not to slip quietly into the undiscovered country, however, and came back roaring with an early Round 2 lead, as Paradise (13-9) entered the fray with a monster performance, leading alongside a rejuvenated 24 (12-7), as Deez Nuts (10-10), Tiny (7-10) and arsen (7-10).
Why they elected to not play evaden after a great R1 showing is beyond me, but nevertheless they managed to win another scintillating match that went down to the very end.
Cranium (12-10) was again a monster, while Zaz picked up his play with a 10-10, ahead of Mean Gene (9-10), Rendered (9-10) and skatarius (5-10).
HOT: Paradise/24, with splendid 13-9 and 12-7 performances
NOT: was a pretty tight game, hard to fault anyone

Round 3
Round 3 was an absolute massacre, as Rendered nailed the MVP with a sublime 13-5 outing, with cranium (12-7) and Zazerick (10-3) in tow, carrying a sub-par pizikus (3-7), subbed out for M_M God (1-3), who was equally as bad, while skatarius (1-4) was removed for a monster 8-1 performance from Mean Gene.
The entirety of Fierce failed to go positive, led by Negger-in-Chief Tiny with a sub-human 1-10 performance.
HOT: Rendered with an MVP 13-5 performance
NOT: Tiny.
HOT Player of the Week: Cranium, for some absolutely mesmerizing kills and dominating the competition across all three rounds with some stellar consistency
NOT: Tiny, with 4-10, 7-10, 1-10 performances to rival a Drinking Bird at a keyboard.
NEXT WEEK:
Revenge moves on to take on #1 Pandora in the Semi-Finals, while Sweet goes forward to face #2 Cobra, as a bitter rivalry emerges between the two of them, Sweet having just knocked Cobra out of TWLB in a controversial match.
