TWLD Quarter-Finals HoN
Part 1 (to be concluded with the Potenza/Sweet postoned game)
Raid vs. Cobra
Round 1
This was a close match for most of the way, as breakout superstar of the season bon (16-7) decimated the opposition with his continued stellar play, was Reaver (11-9) anchored the team with smart defensive plays and coverage, alongside veteran WB Stylez's (9-8) solid performance, as well as lethal ship 1 assassin vys coming in with a strong 10-7, making up for a poor 4-10 performance by Best.
For their part, the Cobramin went hard, as Creature and Murder played great, notching a pair of 11-10's, while Turban grinded out a 9-10 to almost break even, while Quaint notched an OK 7-10. They were marred by playoff choke artist Ricko (3-10), who continued to lead the league in kill differential between his regular season and playoff games.
HOT: bon, 16-7 scorcher!
NOT: Ricko, terribad 3-10 stinker
Raid pulled away near the end with some aggressive rushes and good closing manoeuvres, and draining Cobra of momentum.
50-41
Round 2
Cobra then kindly imploded, losing 50-20!!! In an absolute trainwreck of a round, no one on Cobra notched more than 4 kills except Murder (8-10), as Creature and Ricko led the way with mirror 1-6s, Quaint went 2-8, Guero 3-6, Turban 1-4, and Saetep subbing in with a respectable 4-3.
This disaster was brought to you by Raid and the letter C (for Choke), as vys (11-2) led the way with a stellar outing, with Reaver (8-2), bon (7-3), Stylez (7-7) and Best (6-6) in tow, mercilessly rushing the enemy cobramin and rounding them up in the spawn and picking them off 1 by 1 like herding cattle.
Kudos for the shit-stomping performance!
HOT: vys, 11-2 maestro.
NOT: everyone on Cobra except Murder and saetep
Hot Player of the Week: bon, for a red-hot 16-7 performance in a close game, then following it up with a solid 7-3 in the blowout.
NOT Player of the Week: Ricko, atrocious 3-10, 1-6 performances and the personality of a dick grinding asphalt. Should be sold in a package that reads "WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD"
NEXT WEEK:
Potenza and Sweet have to make up their game sometime this week, as Raid moves on to the Semis to take on 2x Champions Fierce. Should be a great match!
