I will not simply break my own rules to allow squads that showed 0 interest for 2 months of qualifying for TWLB just because last minute it lacks competition. However given public opinion I will make some adjustments to make the League have a better chance for success in a sense. Im going to extend an invite to Fierce for LB without having to do the wildcard tournament as fierce did play 26 games in like 2 days to attempt to make it the other squads will earn a spot through said wildcard though given the number of interested squads in it I may increase it to 2 that can get in from it.

Another update Im withdrawing the invite to hatedbymost due to unforseen issue with the DD ladder. Juans fell off due to inactivity and I didnt take the time to individually check the 200 squads in twd to verify the number of games played so Ill take the blame on this one.

Also update for main post ill edit it for colors in a minute all squads have accepted entry except Revenge should they not accept they forfeit their LB spot and LJ spot would go to enemy as they were next on the ladder.

Read the 2nd paragraph of the TWL rules Lag Killer =p I can revise them as I see fit at a given point as such Fierce will be invited because they made a legitimate attempt to play 30 games in the last 2-3 days timeframe to qualify. The remaining 3 squads on the ladder combined for 16 games and will play wildcard if they wish to enter TWL.

Actually just to make it more clear.

Trench Wars Leagues rules may be revised at any time by the League Operators, but notice will be given on the official TWL site (twl.trenchwars.org) beforehand. As well, TWL is a privilege, not a right, and this privilege can be revoked for any player by the League Operators with sufficient cause.

You just did break your own rules, cause they had 2 months to play 30 games. I don't care that Fierce made TWLB as they certainly deserve to be there...but can you actually uphold a rule for once. One would have thought that you would have learned to do that by now.

TWL purpose and intent is clearly defined on the web site as, “Trench Wars Leagues is the premier competitive league in Trench Wars. It is designed for serious squads which are interested in competing against the best in the zone.”.

This seems to be the opposite of ‘throw the doors open and let anyone/everyone play even if they aren’t competitive’. We all knew this was going to happen and was why some people proposed to not hold TWL this year or other solutions like merging it into TWD. Another solution would be to change the nature of TWL (and its definition on the web site) to fit what is actually happening; but obviously it is no longer ‘the premier competitive league’.

My personal opinion is that the zone should make sweeping league changes. Retire TWD and TWL and replace them with a single league with a summer and winter season. To keep in touch with the history perhaps hold a nostalgic 2 week TWL tourney or something.

I agree it should be full, but honestly, top 8 is top 8. If you're 9th, sucks to be you, try your luck in the LB wildcard tourny and see if you can't get into LB.

Letting everyone in who wants to be in and every squad in is stupid, same as it was last year. Maybe squads need to actually care about rank and rating again. Would be a step in the right direction to make TWL mean something again, instead of "just game, and you'll make TWL cause we dont have 8 squads" mentality.

I hate to throw people under the bus, but the fact of the matter is we could have easily got 4 forfeits to get 30. Check dudgeon's 30th game. JUST SAYIN

Same with Cougars. We could have easily gotten 25 forfeits, but we chose not to.
