Welcome to week 2’s Hot or Not! Brought to you by Attacks and Weak
Due to myself (Attacks) finishing work late and Weak’s dream boat holiday ship being delayed, we arrived late on the scene to write this weeks Hot or Not, So first of all to apologise for this HON being late and secondly thanks to Ray Allen and Tripin who helped me fill in the gaps on the games we couldn’t make in person.
So here goes
Wolf Vs Enemy
Winner: Wolf 50-24
I have been impressed with Enemy up until this point for their effort this Twl but unfortunately that is as far as it goes, this time they were outmatched by a on form Wolf side, who's organisational skills and teaming really crushed the basers. As always Enemy put their best Warbirds on the line but none of them could get a result, Best result from them being a mediocre 8-10 for their Warbird king Cranium. Wolf, were the Wolf and Enemy who resembled sheep in this encounter, were getting circled by the Wolf pack and taking rather vicious bites from Quartz, Flew and Sir Spider. Sir Spider with a very solid 10-2, but really the Alpha male was Quartz with a 13-5 score, (what a player this guy is turning out to be, lets see how he does against the top 3 squads in the weeks to come).
Hots of the match: Sir Spider 10-2, Quartz 13-5 ,Flew 11-5
Nots of the match (sheep of the match): Skatarius 4-10, Jurassic 4-10, Krage 4-10 BAAAAAAAHHHH
Fierce Vs Savanger
Winner: Fierce 50-19
I described Wolf Vs Enemy as a Wolf and Sheep scenario ill describe this as a Savanger getting run over by a stampede of Fierce players that was so bad, that Simba would have been glad his father passed away in the Lion King in such a clean way. Enough of the metaphors this was a pure flexing of muscles from Fierce’s super stars who all fought to gain the top dog and get that mvp, Fierce were unstoppable from the GOGOGOGO, Lasenza, Apok and Welt showing not a ounce of mercy as they struck kill after kill on Savanger, I’m not going to go on this week about the problems Savanger are having, but I can only imagine the repercussions from adding a non Twl rostered player called Shaggy2dope will have not improved their already rather bleak Twl prospects.
Hots of the match: Lasenza 11-1,Welt 11-2 , Apok 13-3
Nots of the match: Olde 0-8, Shaggy2dope 0-2 (I think you know why)
Value Vs Paladen
Winner: Value 50-33
Paladen put up the best fight of the underdogs this week by hitting the 33 mark but that by no means makes this a close game, Once again it goes to show that a radar based team needs to stick closer together than any other style, unfortunately Paladen didn’t get the memo, I have great ties with Paladen and I was watching this game closely and screaming get back in formation and feeling helpless from Spectator mode as I watched the on-going carnage. As with all long ranged players who struggle to team it gives overwhelming space to rushing players and unfortunately Value had plenty of in your face rushers to exploit this. A special note however to Sawyer who managed to hit the 15 kill mark, which for a losing team and especially in the way Paladen were beaten is a incredible feat.
As for Value I predicted they were be back with style and this was a solid performance by them after the crushing defeat they had last week from Pandora, Solid but not overwhelming performances from all 5 starters.
Hots of the match: Ricko 12-8, Racka 10-6, Sawyer 15-9
Nots of the match: Fatrolls 4-10, Watto 2-7
Pandora vs Juans
Winner: Pandora 50-22
This game was pretty much over before it even started. No one, not even "Juans players" themselves believed they could win this one. Then the proverbial beating began. Pandora started with a different lineup than last week with beam, best, obi, tanzu, and Weak while Juans countered with Fiora, NYD, Sheriff, Roiwerk, and Ready. The closest this game got was at 0-0. Pandora jumped all over Juans and had their way the whole round. Best and Tanzu went into beast mode, with Tanzu going from 2-1 to 13-2. It was almost like Pandora turning up to a shooting gallery and arming Tanzu with a Uzi. Weak saw his first action and got a mere 4-2 before subbing himself out for Ease who was in to simply pad his k:d. Juans only bright spot per say was Fiora's 8-10 and Nowyoudie's 7-10. Roiwerk got an atrocious 1-10, and was followed with Ready/Sheriff's 3-10. This game is one of the many that will/has show/(n) that there is a lack of competitiveness in TWLD.
Hots of the match: Tanzu 13-2, Best 14-7
Nots of the match: Roiwerk 1-10
Hot of the week :Apok 13-3 a stunning return to form
Honourable mentions:Tanzu 13-2, Sawyer 15-9 (despite the odds)
Not of the week: Roiwerk 1-10
Other mentions: Olde 0-8 and Shaggy2dope 0-2 (I think you know why)
