Sorry this week’s predictions sucked; I got 2 out of the four wrong that that simply blows. The season prediction average has now fallen to 84%, will try to get it back over 90% by season end.
Dudgeon vs Warhable
11:29 – 15:00
Dudgeon Lineup:
Mikkiz(terr), Downfall/nokkonen/sakke(sharks), gilder/Leitz/micke/nicholas/zizzo/reckful(spiders), Zizzo(warbird)
Warhable Lineup:
choi(terr), fakiiri/Willby(sharks), JammyJames/nanto/shaddowknight/thewadorooster(spiders), LancosaurusTeKs
In what turned out to be a good game to watch, Warhable was able to outlast Dudgeon to gather their first win of the season. Warhable took a quick 6-2 lead with Shaddow taking care of spider business under while in the flag room. Warhable shark combo of Fakiiri and Willby played a competent game. JammyJames, Nanto and TheWadoRoster were all able to contribute to the win with solid performances. The Warhable spiders were able to carry the load even with a rather ineffective Lancaster (LancosaurusTeKs) play. But the outstanding accomplishment was Choi’s terriering; he stayed alive when he needed to, used his weapons effectively, and positioned team well throughout the game.
Dudgeon appeared stunned and disorganized during the first 15 minutes. Lagouts plagued their sharks and their timing sucked throughout the game. Nokkomen was subbed late in the game but it is not clear that Downfall was the problematic shark. Zizzo was unable to make any impact in a warbird and this contributed to Dudgeon’s impotence early. After some changes Dudgeon was able to make something of a comeback and pulled the score to with 5 minutes (Warhable 18-8). This was due in part to some good pushing by Leitz and Mikkiz’s slick moves. But it was too little, too late and Choi was able to end any hopes of a comeback.
Hot of the game – Choi; obviously Blah should have changed his name 5 years ago
Not of the game – Zizzo; as captain should have changed himself out of warbird much sooner

Enemy vs. Revenge
15:00 – 14:14
Enemy Lineup:
Cintra(terr), porkjet/cranium/krage(sharks), Ayn/Diuley/Jurassic/trance/skatarius/Trasher(spiders)
Revenge Lineup:
Hydride(terr), rodney/menelvagor(sharks), Eelam/hellkite/megalo/squallFF8/zeebu(spiders)
Revenge showed up to play and fielded one of their best lines, Enemy did not. This resulted in a tight, close game that came right down to the wire. But this is not to take anything away from Revenge, they played very well throughout this game and had a lead several times. If Revenge had this lineup and played this well in their other games their season would have been very different.
Cintra logged a very good game for Enemy, dying a scant 4 times. But this was matched by Hydride who also played a good game but was not able to be as glean as many kills as Cintra. With the frequent flag room battles in this game the under spiders were pressured. Revenge’s Squall and Zeebu were fairly evenly matched against the Enemy duo of Diuley and Trance although special mention should be made of Zeebus 2 terrier take downs. Porkjet played a good game and was able to dodge/cheat his way one in spectacular teamfer rush that included the Revenge terrier.
After Enemy was down 3-6 Cranium brain fart ended and he added himself and Ayn. Not that the subbed players sucked but having two of your best players sitting on the bench while you are getting owned was obvious enough for even a casual TWL observer to think ‘wtf’. Trasher played his usual outstanding game and was able to log two terrier kills.
But good pushing by Eelam, HK, Megalo helped Revenge maintain the lead for the better part of this game, even with the Enemy subs. The game was hanging in the balance with the score tied at 13-13 and then at 14-14 but Enemy was able to finally get their shit together and pull out a win in the final minute.
Hot of the Game – Trasher; good K ratio, high accuracy, 2 teks
Not of the Game – Cranium; we will ignore the TWL record-breaking 1.2 RPD and just flame his initial lineup judgment. Dude, Enemy had gotten owned by the same Revenge lineup twice the previous day; the proper procedure would have been to put your best lineup in at start and then sub in other players when your undefeated season wasn’t being threatened.

Fierce vs. Value
8:40 – 15:00
Fierce Lineup:
Tiny/Murder(terr), Conspiracy/Murder(sharks), Last Standing/Mean Gene/Ri$e Again$t/tj hazuki/tomatospiders(spiders), Mean Gene (jav)
Value Lineup:
Waxy(terr), Commando/War(sharks), dice/Jack/renzi/Ricko/schope(spiders)
Fierce appeared to struggle throughout much of this game. Some of this may have been due to some lag issues but not having Mythrandir to carry the terrier duties also had a negative effect. Value had no such issues and looked sharp. Waxy played well as did his shark pair of Commodo and War. Value spider dice, jack, renzi, Ricko and schope handled the hapless Fierce team without much difficultly.
This game underscored the importance that a terrier adds to a team’s momentum. Not only could Fierce never really get anything going but we constantly losing large amounts of time by not being in the flag room. Special mention goes out to TJ for going positive this game. Where has Diakka been? Liz?
Hot of the Game – Ricko; solid game
Not of the Game – Fierce terriers including Mythrandir for not showing up

DicE vs. Pandora
15:00 – 8:46
Game of The Week
Dice Lineup:
Zizu(terr), Dwopple/a2m(sharks), cripple/Jamal/kess/panama/stayon(spiders)
Pandora Lineup:
VA(terr), Mattey/zidane(sharks), Ease/mcvicar/Ogron/sarger/Solace(spiders)
This game was thought to have the possibility of being epic, unfortunately the actual result was something less than that. It started well enough with both squads fighting hard and having the game tied at 6-6. The early flag room battles were evenly matched with Stayon/kess handling under vs. Solace/mcvicar. The sharks for both teams played their typical good games and were fairly evenly matched. The spider match up has a slight edge given to the DicE spider but not by much.
The real delta here was ultimately in the terrier play. VA played a competent game but Zizu played better, racking up almost 20 more kills than VA and dying half as much.
Some in spec questioned VA in terrier in a game of this magnitude but for whatever reason(s) they felt better having him play over Cape. Pandora also missed Spezza and his spider pushes but DicE also had Megaman MIA. A disappointing game for Pandora and a disappointing game for those wanting to see a close game. In the end DicE simply had more firepower and used it very effectively.
Hot of the game – Stayon/Zizu; both played very well
Not of the Game – Ease/Sarger; needed to step up more
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hot of the week – Warhable; carving out some respect
Honorable mention: Choi
Not of the week – Dudgeon; 1-5 really?
Honorable mention: Pandora; not quite sure what the issues were but expectations were higher
