    TWLD

    Vikings vs. You2be
    50-49

Cloth was the hero of this game, with a monstrous 17-9 in this 50-49 nailbiter, alongside a massive 17-10 by veteran Jones, in an exciting match chock full of Herculean efforts (with three players account for 54% of the kills), as the pair carried Enf (6-6), Ison (5-10), Ravos (0-4), and Steep (3-7) to the W.

You2be saw a titanic effort from the relatively unknown Raizin, who looked like Vishnu at his keyboard putting up a mesmerizing 20-9 effort, falling just short of victory, alongside Amar (11-10), Eren (8-10), Fiora (2-5), Stack (1-5), and Stung (7-10).

    HOT: Raizin (20-9)
    HOT: Cloth (17-9)
    HOT: Jones (17-10)
NOT: Fiora, Stack, Ravos, Steep. So many tied NOTs you'd think you'd think you were at Sailor school. Awful.

    ---

    Fierce vs. Potenza
    50-36

Apok (15-8) and Skepsis (15-8) took control of this game, as the Slash Brothers carved up Potenza in convincing fashion, ahead of Geio, Lasenza, and Welt.

On the losing side, Okyo (11-10) and Tanzu (11-10) put in strong performances, but couldn't muster good scores from Caos (5-10), Cres (6-10), or Iron Not-So-Survivor (3-10).

    HOT: Apok
    HOT: Skepsis

NOT: Iron Survivor, who, like a Civil War re-enactor, thought he was reenacting the World Cup finals against Germany.

    ---

    Vikings vs. Paladen
    50-44

Jones continued his assault on TWLD, smashing through Paladen's line with a titanic 17-7, ahead of Cloth (10-9), Ison (8-6), Ravos (9-8), Major Crisis (0-4) and Warrior (6-6).

Racketeer (13-10), Plead (10-10), and Afri (10-10) put in strong showings, but were sunk by Paladen veterans Jessup (5-10) and Alextron (2-6), with a solid sub-in from Jebass (4-4).

    HOT: Jones the Destroyer
NOT: Jessup, who's been the best player on Paladen for years (and the nicest player in Subspace), with a sub-par 5-10 in a very winnable match.

    ---

    Fierce vs. Burn
    50-37

TWLD legend Deez Nuts (13-4) dominated this game, with Apok (12-10), Lasenza (10-7), Skepsis (9-8), and Welt (4-1) in tow, and in spite of an atrocious outing from Geio (1-6).

Cape (10-10), Best (9-10), and Weaver (8-10) played well, while Mythril and Raazi couldn't match their pace, notching a pair of 5-10s.

    HOT: Deez Nuts
NOT: Geio, with a 1-6 on the winning team.

Geio is now having one of the worst seasons in TWLD history while on a competitive top-tier team:

As Jalen Rose would say, keep gettin' dem checks -- Lay low and hope no one notices.

    ---

    Cobra
    vs. LEGO
    50-27

Rasaq (11-3), Clark Kentaro (11-7), Shadowmere (10-7), Ricko (9-3), and Casket (8-7) put in a nice team effort to stomp LEGO out.

Turban (9-10) was once again the lone bright spot, ahead of bad showings from delectable, Flew, Henry Saari, Joemama, Pat B, and ROWS.

    HOT: Rasaq
NOT: ROWS, with another atrocious performance going 3-8. I'd tell you to get a new alias to get away from the stink on your name, but it wouldn't make you a better player.

A rows by any other name.

    ---

    Dudgeon vs. You2be
    50-35

megaman89 (15-7) impressed in his debut, leading JAMAL (12-7), dreamwin (10-8), Zizzo (10-9), and the perenially underperforming plob#f (3-4).

Amar, Eren, raizin, Stack, and stung all negged, with Fiora (8-5) the only player to put out, with a great sub-in.

    HOT: megaman89
NOT: Stack (1-5). Like a chimney stack, you love it when guys stick their wood into you, and go up in smoke after someone lights you up.

    ---

    LEGO vs. Dudgeon
    50-36

Flew (17-7) and Turban (14-7) pulled of a minor upset taking down Dudgeon in LD, leading joemama (8-7), ROWS (8-9), and Henry Salami (3-6) to victory.

JAMAL, Stayon, Zizzo, megaman89, Omega Red, and Rough all failed to achieve parity.

    HOT: Flew
NOT: Omega Red (3-7), who gets more subs in TWLD than NAMBLA members do when Jared shows up at a meeting.

    ---

    Potenza vs. Burn
    50-41

In what turned out to be the biggest upset of the week, Potenza took the fight to a heavily-favored Burn squad without Racka/Mythril/Ease/Weak, and showed no mercy, handing them a 50-41 defeat.

Cres (12-8) and Okyo (12-9) led their team with ferocity, ahead of Tanzu (10-9), Iron Survivor (9-7), and Served (7-8).

Raazi (12-10) and Best (10-10) did their best to keep the ship afloat, but couldn't buoy Cape (5-10), Weaver (4-10), and Kira Tomato (1-5), and a suprise (to me, more than anyone) sub-in by Ogron (9-5) proved too little, too late.

    HOT: Cres
    NOT: Weaver

    ---

    Cobra vs. Paladen
    50-24

Racketeer (10-10) was the only Paladener to hit double digits, as Afri, Alextron, Jebass, Jessup, and Plead all failed to get more than 5 kills apiece.

On the winning side, Ricko absolutely massacred them with a ridiculous 16-3, ahead of Casket (13-4), who might more appropriately be named Casket-maker, Riverside (6-6), Vys (7-5), and Kentaro (8-6) looking a bit more like Clark Kent than Superman in this one.

    HOT: Ricko
NOT: AF(K)RI, with an abhorrent 0-5. Unless you died at your computer on GO, there's no excuse for getting zero kills in a ship Welt goes positive in.

    Fierce vs. Vikings
    50-39

The Fierce Borg cube continued its assault on TWL, as revered (17-8) did to Vikings what Locutus did to the Federation at Wolf 359, destroying their fleet alongside Spawnisen (11-7), 24 (8-7), Evildeed (9-9), Apok, and Kado (0-4).

Major Crisis (11-10), Cloth, and Jones played well, but couldn't compensate for hs and Ravos's combined 1-10.

    HOT: revered
    NOT: hs and Ravos.

    ---

    Burn vs. You2be
    50-30

kess (14-9) and Best (13-8) led fahrenheit (9-2), Tiny (6-3), and Kira Tomato (6-8) to the twenty point victory.

euforia (11-10) has proven You2be's best jav this season, but got little help from DeadSorcerer (5-10), Fiora (2-10), or pee pee sock (1-6), and Fork's (5-4) sub-in had zero chance of making a splash that late in the game.

    HOT: Kess
    HOT: Best

NOT: Fiora, with one of the trashiest 2-10s ever witnessed.

zidane> Just saw Fiora dive someone while on 9 and die out
zidane> think i just got worse at jav watching that
zidane> need to pour battery acid into my eyes to unsee that
    Heaven> LOL

    ---

    Cobra vs. Vikings
    50-43

Trasher (12-6) showed off his multi-ship talents, MVPing this match ahead of Zazerick (10-10), Neymar (8-7), Wax, and Shadowmere.

Jones (11-10) once again continued his dominance over TWL despite being on a newbie squad, as Cloth, Enf, Major Crisis, and Ravos put up a respectable 7 to 8 kills each.

    HOT: Trasher
NOT: Everyone played pretty well, I can't really find anyone to single out : )

    But remember...

    ---

    Juans vs. You2be
    50-24

You2be got smushed like wine grapes by dirty euro feet, as Juans pushed Fork and Co. through a fine mesh ("They will be the luckiest of all" -Zapp Bran****n). Healt led all players with a 14-5, as Tom Juan (10-1) almost managed the ace, while Steadman (9-5), Maze of Torment (9-7), and Lorko rounded out the assault team.

DeadSorcerer, euforia, Fiora, Fork, and Yojimbo put in scores so disgustingly low, I'd need a parental advisory just to show them on screen.

    HOT: Healt
    HOT: Tom Juan
NOT: euforia, with a putrid 3-10. Deadsorcerer also put in a 3-10, but he didn't spend half of S17 on Sage terring me into the ground. You always dove into cram whether there was a shark or not. Wish you'd do the same diving into the ocean, useless pos.

    ---

    Fierce vs. LEGO
    50-35

Aprix (14-6) and Spawnisen (12-6) once again teamed up to take down LEGO, ahead of 24 (8-3), Evildeed, Revered, and Kado (0-3), who went an impressive 0-7 combined in jav this week against titans like LEGO and Vikings. If I were playing Guess Who? and trying to guess who my opponent had, and they told me it was a Fierce player, with a four letter name, ends with the letter O, and was fucking terrible this week, I wouldn't have narrowed it down enough to answer.

For LEGO, Turban (9-10) and Henry Saari (8-6) were the only standouts, while df, dsb, Flew, Pat B, and Ted Mosby were all awful.

    HOT: Aprix
NOT: dsb (0-4), Pat B (0-4), and Kado (0-3) all failed to record a single kill. You're either the best UN peacekeeping force the world has ever seen, or the worst fucking javs I've ever had the displeasure of watching. I'll take Occam's Razor on this one... and then slit my wrists with it, because I don't want to live after witnessing this match.

    ---

    Dudgeon vs. Burn
    50-41

The most anticipated TWLJ match of the week was a close one, as Dudgeon beat out Burn by 9, as Zizzo (13-9), Rough (11-9), dreamwin, megaman89, and Commodo took home the W.

Best (14-10) did his best to best the opponent, but his teammates (as well as my thesaurus) were nowhere to be found, with only Tiny (9-10) approaching parity, alongside kess, fahrenheit, and Amnesti.

    HOT: Zizzo
NOT: fahrenheit. Like buying a diamond-studded ferrari or sending your child to college so he can experiment with his sexuality and major in journalism, a 5-10 combined with dying out first proved costly mistake.

    ---

    Cobra vs. LEGO
    50-23

While Damnatio memoriae is typically a form of dishonor reserved by the Roman Senate for traitors, with the intent of erasing them from history, LEGO's entire line negged so horrendously, I think it is appropriate here.

Zazerick (14-4), Neymar (10-2), Trasher (9-3), Shadowmere, and Wax decimated the enemy with extreme prejudice, earning Cobra the W.

    HOT: Zazerick

    ---

    Juans vs. Potenza
    50-47

We close out with the Match of the Week, a 50-47 thriller that saw Shaun (13-10) nearly carry the likes of Iron Survivor (9-10), Cres (4-3), Dwarf (5-9), Okyo (9-10), and Tanzu (3-7), falling 3 kills short.

For Juans, Steadman (14-9), Tom Juan (10-8), Healt (11-10), Lorko and John Juan clinched the victory in this tight race to the finish.

    HOT: Steadman
    HOT: Shaun

NOT: Tanzu and Dwarf, with some vomit-inducing javelin play. Tanzu is a huge troll, but whatever he is charging at the bridge he guards clearly isn't enough, because it looks like he's playing without a monitor.

    ---

    Dudgeon vs. Potenza
    50-32

    Dreamwin (15-5) led megaman89 (11-8), Zizzo (8-7), Rough (9-9), and maketso (6-3) to victory.

Potenza was lackluster with the exception of Shaun (13-10), as Iron Survivor, Mark Stone, Okyo, and Tanzu all negged.

    HOT: Dreamwin
NOT: Mark Stone (1-10), who should consider a career in News Broadcasting, because he's a fucking anchor.

      TWLB

      Vikings vs. Paladen
      15-0

Vikings smushed Paladen, as Gurliver (68-26, 4 Teks), Enf (57-23), Steep (51-11), Cloth, and Banks manhandled them in spider, ahead of Ephemeral (3.2 RPD) and Valker (2.8 RPD) in shark and warportal (9-2) in terr.

Jessup (5-5) terred ahead of Little Buddha (2.0 RPD, Yikes!) and Racketeer (2.6 RPD), with AFRI (49-32) the only spider to hit 40 for Paladen, alongside Alextron, illuster, mad jack, and Plasma.

      HOT: Gurliver
NOT: illuster (22-38), whose career as a Spider will last about as long as Andrew Garfield's.

      ---

      LEGO vs You2be
      15-1

Another exciting match for TWL ops looking to catch up on their sleep, df (24-0) "aced" You2be much in the same way Tiny did Paladen last week, as Markmrw (3.1 RPD) and Pat B (25 kills, 2 Teks, 2.9 RPD) did the heavy lifting, ahead of Henry Salami (81-14), Jatt (63-28), TJ Hazuki (65-32), Mr. Homo (50-22), and infrared (41-12).

Stung and Yojimbo sharked in front of euforia (23-4) in terr, as CCK, Eren, Fiora, Fork, and Stack "spidered".

      HOT: Pat B
NOT: CCK, with an impressive 34-62. YUUUUUCCK.

      ---

      Dudgeon vs. Cobra
      15-6

megaman89 (84-40), dreamwin (77-36), mcvicar (61-37), Zizzo (63-41), and Zizzo (63-41) spidered ahead of JAMAL (3.0 RPD) and porkjet (2.9 RPD), with Mikkiz (25-0) acing once again, taking down their opponent with aplomb.

For their part, Cobra looked much better this week, after getting aced by Burn, as Megalo (69-44), Trasher (67-36), skatarius (69-48), squallFF8 (58-36), and Ricko (54-40) spidered behind Cranium (2.8 RPD) and rodney (2.9 RPD), with Wax performing nicely in terr, putting up a 22-5.

      HOT: megaman89

NOT: Whoever subbed in voth for SquallFF8. Let him over and you'll get way better results, guy is a TWLB Finals spid, holy fk. Don't get why people keep forcing him to under.

      ---

      LEGO vs. Paladen
      15-3

LEGO ran over the hapless Paladeners, as Henry Salami hovered over the flag like that UFO in Independence Day, slamming Paladen for 100 kills on 14 deaths.

Alongside him were TJ Hazuki (70-40), DSB (60-15), Jatt (76-24), and Flew. df (24-2) terred ahead of Markmrw (3.1 RPD) and Mr Homo (20 Kills, 2.9 RPD).

      HOT: Henry Salami
NOT: Jebass, with a 30-68 in spider. I want to say mean things about you, but I've never heard you string together a coherent sentence in three years on Paladen, so the fact that you're still playing this game and haven't accidentally fallen through a manhole or into a wood chipper is an achievement in and of itself.

Let's be real, though, the only genes you should be passing on are your Levis.

      ---

      Burn vs. Vikings
      15-5

Vikings has really impressed thus far this season, despite lacking star power, and while they didn't pull off a massive upset like they did Week 1, they still put up a respectable five minutes against a strong line.

Banks (58-42), Gurliver (52-47), Steep (51-51), Enf, and TheWadoRooster all pushed hard and played well, with Ephemeral (2.9 RPD) and Valker (2.6 RPD) were solid in shark, although warportal (27-13, 2 Teks) had an extremely tough task in terring.

Kess (81-17), Hulk (80-27), Ogron (72-48), Weaver (75-28), and M_M God (66-22) spidered ahead of Mattey (3.0 RPD) and Zidane (2.9 RPD), with Tim (27-2, 2 Teks) in terrier.

      HOT: Kess

      ---

      Fierce vs. You2be
      15-2

Fierce re-asserted itself in the basing world, racking up four straight wins after starting 0-2 in Week 1. Sphinx (71-21), USOI (75-22), Mean Gene, Downfall, and Apricock played ahead of 24 and Geio in shark, with Everett (23-3) continuing to terr well for the TWLD champs.

euforia (27-5) terred ahead of Fork and Yojimbo in ship 8, with Stack, Stung, Eren, CCK, and Dark Hell... which is what watching this game felt like.

      HOT: Sphinx

      ---

      Dudgeon vs. Burn
      15-7

The highly anticipated match between the top two squads in TWLB started off promisingly. Burn took the early lead, until dreamwin singlehandedly broke into the flagroom 1v6, was ignored, and streamed 6 bullets from the left side into the cram, nicking Burn's terr for the Tek, and gaining entry for his squad. Not Burn spiders' finest moment. As both squads traded the lead back and forth for the first fourteen minutes in a hotly contested match that was 7-7, Burn then won an extended FR fight and swarmed Mikkiz (25-5), who port-trapped Cape (32-12) on top of the flag, Tek'ing him and escaping, proving the turning point in the match.

The final eight minutes were a letdown, as dreamwin (88-52), Zizzo (86-54), Mcvicar (77-52), Stayon (76-37), megaman89, and Omega Red held cram, aided by an avalanche of Mikkiz bursts in quick succession, with JAMAL (2.9 RPD) and Commodo (3.0 RPD) in shark.

Ogron (85-48), kess (78-49), diakka (75-49), M_M God (66-56), and Hulk (60-59) broke several times behind Zidane (2.9 RPD) and Mattey (3.0 RPD) in shark, but their terr died on several of the breaks, leaving spectators looking for an epic finish disappointed.

HOT: Mikkiz, with some clutch bursts and ports, to go along with his earlier ace. Kudos!

      ---

      Fierce vs. Cobra
      15-13

This match turned out to be the best of the bunch, as the 28+ minute barnburner was close 'til the end, as Megalo (101-71) led Trasher (97-40), Ricko (83-51), Voth (83-69), and vys (60-58), with Cranium (2.7 RPD) and rodney (2.9 RPD) in shark, alongside Wax (9-0) and skatarius (32-6) in terr.

On the winning side, USOI (105-55), wbm (92-54), sphinx (88-50), Mean Gene (92-51), and apricot (87-62) edged out Cobra behind DOWNFALL (2.8 RPD) and Oder (2.9 RPD) as the shark pair notched 4 Teks, guarding Everett (36-5) in terr.

      Great game!

HOT: DOWNFALL & Oder, 2.9 RPD, 4 Teks, and 37 kills between the two.

        Jav of the Week: Zizzo
With a 13-9 against Burn in the toughest match of the week, and a slightly more subdued 8-7 in their other match, leading his team to a perfect 2-0 this week!

Despite the hardest schedule in TWLB this week, Mikkiz notched a 25-0 ace against Cobra, and a 25-5 versus Burn, leading Dudgeon to a perfect 2-0 this week. Kudos!
