Just put up the postpone announcement up Today/tomorrow, that way everyone knows in advanced. You guys like to wait last minute for everything which is dumb. Save your self the time of fighting with the players. There will be a huge amount of players who won't show, guaranteed. Plus this game is continuum it never fkn ends! What's the big deal of postponing back a week? It will make the games biggest attraction last a week longer, that seems like a win for SS.

Let's wait til the day before and find out half of the squads are gonna forfit, then postpone it in full retard fail style! Hell yeah TW!

Or we can play it, kick more squads out for not showing full lines, Or hell issue more warnings! Guys love warnings! Sounds about right!

There are a ton of open time slots due to Paladen and Spark dropping out of TWLB -- 12 open slots in Weeks 5, 6, and 7.

Why not just swap out all the good July 4th (Week 4) TWL games into those open slots?



Here's an example. You can salvage more than the ones listed, but those are the most competitive games between the best squads.

So instead of delaying people who can't show miss non-crucial games (everyone makes the playoffs, anyway.)

I can't show July 4th, either, but why delay when we can just move all the best games of Week 4 into other weeks?

Also, if we're going to squeeze in a TWDT season this fall right after, every week's delay is a huge impediment to finishing before the Christmas holidays :santa:

You were informed they are played on July 4th. Unless there's a decision to reverse the schedule from a month ago, you're already informed they are going to be played.

And with Ogron's proposed idea, the need for your full top line isn't there either. Add in turban's post in this thread stating how every team will be in the playoffs, and scores mattering next to none...

Not sure if you missed it or what, but Mark said if both competing squad captains were to message him about a reschedule for their games, it would be an option. So there are alternatives. Instead of going to the extreme and alienating those who do want to play. Most of whom are not going to post here, yet expect games to be played as scheduled.

I'm not sure if you know this but Christmas is Five months away...We shouldn't be worrying about TDWT, But what's best for TWL right now.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just cancel for the week? You have Force, Dice,and Cobra all telling you they want to postpone because players won't be showing, and/or struggling to even have enough players to field for matches this up coming week.

Why would you want our most competitive League to be played this way?

I actually talk to my squad and we are close. I don't treat my squad mates like chess players.
And majority of our line is from EU?
Our whole warbird lineup lives in the US and Canada. None are from Europe.

I know my team mates a lot more than you do. We also keep in touch off this game too in text group chats.
Anyone with a friend and family circle of more than 3 people will probably not show up this Sunday. As it is basically a national BBQ day. And our league times fall under 1-6 PM. Guess what time normal people have BBQs on a Sunday?

My squad isn't the only squad.
Why play leagues on a day where players are actually posting on forums saying them, and their squads won't play.
It's hard enough to even get 10 people to vote on a poll yet you have over 15-20 players posting here that the majority of their squad won't show.
Unfortunately no one is 13 years old anymore and have the time to dedicate their lives to this game as we all did before.
All the veterans that play this game have friends and families to spend time with in their respective households. I don't see any new guy posting to postpone it, I see active veterans that keep this game going posting to postpone it. It's a no brainier.
But I'm sure my squad will take time out of their 4th of July weekend to LD Spark who have yet failed to show a full line, and Dynasty who just lost three key warbirds before hard lock.
I'm sure my Basers will take time out of their Fourth of July weekend to play Dynasty in LB. And drive home from where ever they are having family time with to play Cobra in LB for 30 minutes.
I'm sure my javelins would leave their families and friends to LJ LEGO on their Fourth of July weekend.
