Welcome two new squads to TWL!

Trench Wars Leagues would like to wish all the members of Inferno the best of luck in their new endeavours, and we would like to welcome two new squads to replace them.

We'd like to welcome -Solstice- to TWLD, and Faded to TWLJ!

We wish both the squads the best of luck in the rest of the TWL season!

I don't know what to say , the more come the more dissolve , I hope these two squads have strong leaders and loyal players otherwise its gonna be pretty annoying if they drop out this late in the season. Not like it matters these squads aren't going anywhere in TWL so they might as well go there for experience. I also want to make a suggestion that next season something gets done about squad drop outs , I can't say exactly what cause I don't know myself but if something can be done I hope TWL staff handles it.

Congrats you two, best of luck. -Solstice- has beaten some big squads, and hopefully they won't get caught.... i mean hopefully their skill stays (Though I really haven't seen them play the past couple of weeks, so what the hell do i know?)

If it were up to me I would not allow any squads to take places from other squads who drop out of TWL and also have the roster locked at the beginning of the season , this will prevent alot of drop outs and maybe have some people who are considering leaving think twice because they won't be playing in TWL if they abandon and leave. This is just my suggestion , TWL is going great and I like it even tho I can't enjoy watching some great games cause of summer school.

Its as simple as this:

- TWL STARTS
- Rosters get locked
- Squads that dissolve after week one do not get replaced
- TWL reaches its midpoint (ALL STAR GAME IS HELD)
- TWL continues going smoothly

I know u can't force squads not to dissolve , however I think having stricter rules for example the ones I mentioned in this post , helps keep great players and some squads in TWL.
You gotta keep fans satisfied , no disrespect to the squads that replaced ones who droped out but nobody wants to see games like -Solstice- vs Faded (relax am not trash talking the 2 squads and am not sure if these 2 squads will even meet in the remaining season)
Bottom line is Replaced squads so far did not do much , they lost almost all of their games and did not make any difference in the playoff life of another squad like Rampage , Pallies etc..
Only upset was Burning Rose vs Whiterabbits which some people find questionable.
This TWL season is pretty much done and playoffs are heating up , I look forwoard to watching some well earned playoff squads compete against each other (thats if I get out of summer school )

How does not allowing a replacement squad keep a squad from dropping out? The only deterent I can see is that people might be pissed at the members for screwing up league. But in a game where changing your entire identity just takes a few clicks, that's pretty much meaningless.

Maybe people don't want to watch two replacement squads face off (which I don't think is true, but I'll get back to that), but they sure prefer to see Vets vs Replacements than watch the vet's biweek. The number one thing in leagues is to play the games. Also, there have been plenty of good replacement teams. WR was a replacement team. Before your time, I know, but we did pretty fucking well. Apparently Burning Rose is totally awesome (I haven't seen them yet so I shan't pass judgement.)

What you're proposing takes the league experience away from a possibly up and coming squad, takes matches away from the league, and offers a dim chance of actually keeping squads.

Tyson, the real problem is that it is so easy to get past the roster lock. I mean, lets say you got roster locked out of TWL so you join faded. Soon enough all your buddies are on faded but you want in twl. so you suck a twl squad dry until they dissolve, and take there spot. Now you're in TWL.

X-Wing was a replacement squad and they got promoted from second tier to first tier in twl Dueling a couple of years back with 3 less games played or something... I think we ended just behind Disoblige or something

your post about replacement squads being bad for twl is 100% emotional and 0% logical. if you disagree then try to explain to me how a replacement squad is going to make fans (who never have to watch it play if they dont want to) "unhappy". i think most who are reading your post know that you are really just bitter that War Angels, who used to be a big rival of solstice, has fallen to the point where we dont even consider you real competition. ur little parenthetical about us not taking offense to your comments was funny too. why would we not take offense to you implying that we dont belong in twld, we arent good enough and will probably lose all of our games, and we would make for a boring match. think before you post.

really... Have I seen a post where tyson openly says he's bitter about it, or that he thinks solstice will be last for sure? I don't think so, but boy, you certainly had to come sign up for the forums just to tell us what tyson really thinks...

I don't see any point in Tysons ideas neither.
Tyson why did War Angels try to get in TWLB if noone wants to see replacement squad matches result of those matches is already known etc etc?

BR lost 2 and won 1 match in TWLB. Site shows 1-7 or something because we started to play late in the season.
