Why is it that TWD is highly looked down apon? Granted we all know its for practice, and most of us won't give a second thought of how much effort we put into it. So think about it this way Rampage may take it as a practice, but take it for granted other squads do, i know my squad its a routine, we don't need to put in any type of effort unless the opposition is pretty tough, and that only happens when its 45+. So to put it in another percpective, my squad kicks ass because why? because i'm in it, but also because we can kick ass even if we don't try.

And another thing, why bother playing a match if you don't try? even alittle? there is almost always some amount of effort put into subspace and don't give me the we don't care crap because...well here's an example.

After we beat you that day, hell we were happy. We almost thought it was luck, it might have been as well. But why was it that as much " no effort" was put into the gamme, would your squad start spamming about how newbish we were. and than again implied it was "twd". Then some other people came in and flamed us as well.

If what you suggest that no effort was put into it then fine, be it. We would have been happy to have beaten you in TWD and you guys could have just said "gg" and then left, so why did you guys flame us?Weird isn't it?

And i'm not even saying this to say that my squad can beat all other squads, or my squad is supurior.

P.S. If you do want to continue to argue as that than fine but keep in note, that if you can't beat most squads in TWD, than you don't deserve to be in TWL in my opinon. Now it seems as if TWL is a safe haven for most you folks, another excuse to dominate anyone who is better at you for something for once. Come on. Gime me a break.

why is TWD looked down on?

couple reasons im sure

the main reason is for a long time there was no such thing as TWD

1. TWL is the chizz.... its designed to be the leet of the elite

2. TWD is only a practice league for TWL squads...they rarely play their top lineups.... more so to work in and get others playing time

3. most importantly.... the way that TWD is setup right now.... the best squad is not neccessarily going to be sitting in first....

the squad that is most active.....will be in first

perhaps when a slot comes open in TWL and a team is being selected for replacement.... something could happen such as a 3 game playoff between the top 2 or 3 or 4 teams .... or something like that... to try to ensure the best squad is being taken..not just the most active

now im not saying the most active means they are a bad squad... but it depends on who the activity is against....

not to drag up old business (its just an example)... but when HCK was taken into TWBD and they had been in 1st or 2nd for a long time....refusing to play bohemians for over a month (yes it was checked in the TWD records lol it was almost 30 days exactly since they had played the #2 team, always refusing the match)

now the only reason im mentioning this is because their is no restrictions or rules in place to prevent this from happening.....

and in order to bring the best available squad into TWL as replacements.... (so we dont get replacement squads dissolving within a couple weeks) maybe something can be designed to help solve this

anyways....

thats why TWD is looked down on....

its a fantastic creation for Trench Wars.... but like any online game... the upper echelon will always look down on everyone else

Seems Rampage has it's share of trash talkers; I saved that quote in a txt. file for future use Rip, just in case it comes in handy one day for me to feed back to you, and your squad, which you represent and deface. I guess Rampage better make a conscious effort to live up to it's gloat in all matches vs Solstice from now on; pretty embarrasing when you bite off more than you can chew.

Naw, i like to argue when its for a cause or when i feel inclined to do so. In this case i'm mad because most TWL are so anal that they woudn't know a good wb from a lanc. And i'm not saying all cause i respect some guys and hate other and are friends with some. but DAMN, god damn trencers eh?

splatz, don't get all defensive on us. after that match you made our will to play again look as if we were ashamed of our loss and wanted to correct it. and propably the only one who was talking trash from our side was ripper, and that was a bit provoked too by your defensive attitude against the big bad egoistic rampage.

personally, I'm excited that we lost. i've been wondering for some time where all the new talent in TW is, because not many players have risen to the dueling league peak lately, I hope you guys will. might be a refreshing change, and that's what make this game interesting. good luck to leagues and I hope to catch you in another TWD match some day to really test your skills

throughly i do apoligize for my flamage of rampage, but sometimes after being twd for some time now, its gotten sicking how some infividuals are really anal to us "twd newbies". well, this threads gotten long enough alright , yea your one of those people i repsect since i starterd SS 5 yrs ago.

Tyson if you don't like TWL, then create your own league.

I might consider this myself, and with other like minded people when I get more twdd experience.

Cause I'm one person who hates REDTAPE....

I know redtape exists for a reason, but too many rules and regulations can make things boring too.

For now twdd will suffice, hopefully they will improve it, so us non-exclusive (or non-elites) can have fun too.

Might I add, anybody who goes on a superior trip, and looks down on others will suffer eventually.
When Pride is used, then a fall occurs afterward.
Elite to me isn't just skill/tactics, but also attitude.
l33ts who are good skillwise, but suffer in attitude, are really
not elite in my books. So many might not care what I say here, but my words speak truth (truth is logic is truth).

However, it is interesting as I watch match histories and live twdd warbird matches; some of the top TWDD squads can kick league ass good. (These league teams did have some of their best on too, but I agree with Bosshawk for the most part)

This only proves one thing.... like the analogy at work... say you are good at something, but that doesn't matter, its who you know and how long you been in there.

If War Angels don't make league yet, they should sometime soon, they are good also... IMHO....

Activeness in a squad does not establish a universally negative or positive impact, therefore do not try to establish it as such, Bosshawk.

Activeness in a squad will only accelerate the path which a squad takes. The path it takes will be determined by skill, of the opponents, and the squad itself. The more active you are, the more you play, the more you play, the more chances there are of winning and losing. If a squad is inconsistent with wins, or is consistent with losses, activeness will only drag the squad down quicker. Therefore, activeness does not really play a negative or positive role on it's own, it can simply fuel positive or negative outcomes by altering how quick a squad's path is walked.

How quickly a squad's path should be walked is relevant to each squad on it's own. If you know that 2 days from now a squad drops out of twl and a new spot will be open, and your squad is in second place...you can get active all you want but unless your squad is skilled enough to be consistent with wins, you'll just drop down quicker and lose more chances of getting into first.

If you're in first and you know a spot may open up soon, you may want to decrease activeness to minimize chances of losing.

As I said, activeness can only fuel negative or positive outcomes, it alone does not have positive or negative impact universally.

NOW NOW i didnt spend 20 minutes reading all them posts, but i did see what Tyson was saying and in his defence of him saying "dont replace TWL dropouts" i think he was refering to squads and ppl such as 1st Immolate which was turned into Inferno, which is no basicaly Faded with a few more ppl who helped out there roster, i aint attacking them and i hope they do good, but all Inferno did was hold there spot till they got there TWD score to #1 w/ Faded, then alot of Inferno/Immolate joined Faded, not saying u are all them, just saying they improved there roster and there squadname and i think that is what Tyson was refering to but i could be wrong

From earlier posts on page 1, I think what tyson meant was that he'd rather stay in TWD even if they were given the oppurtunity to enter TWL.

From later posts on page 2, I think they're all jibberish, ignore and move on.
