I can understand what was trying to be achieved with the roster lock, but I think it has ended up having some very bad consequences. Squads in general are dynamic and always changing. Given all the delays and formalities, this season is taking a long time, and while thats not really too bad, its hurting squads that are losing members and can't recruit more. Not everyone is dedicated to actively spending months and months playing a season. People come and go, and part of being a squad is recruiting. Look at squads that have faded away, and squads like value that have dropped to 10 members because they can't recruit new people.
I say you should go back to the week-long eligibility rule, which was effective. If you really want, you can make it two weeks or whatever.
Unless you can give a very good reason for the roster lock that I just can't see, replace it. You could give some schpiel about how
it gives incentive for strong squads or whatever, but thats BS. You can't seriously expect people to wait for you to delay a week here and there and drag out the league and not be able to recruit.
