but yeah, it's one week, who cares either way who the replacement squads are.

Personally, leagues this time around don't matter to me, since it's just one/two weeks left anyway. I'll be surprised if DASHsolsticeDASH even shows 8 for their basing match. TWD gets reset at the end of playoffs too, so we'll just hang tight and hope we make it up the ladder next qualifying time.
P.S. BZ makes me laugh.

1st) a2m u cant blame mess for the whole dying thing if u did die bc of him it is truely sad that a squad relied on 1 guy to hold it together
2nd) this is why we should not drop any squads who prove to be stable...shriek was thought to be stable and the died
3rd) this could also be related to roster lock problem..they could of recruited to replace them members (not as good but decent ppl)...and stayed and played playoffs
Originally posted by ConcreteSchlyrd There's a few flaws in this logic. First, by accepting an invite into TWL, you're pretty much signing up for the long haul (or at least that's how it should be viewed). There are enough players out there who would kill for a chance to get into TWL that people who don't feel like they can stick through ten weeks need to think about not accepting a berth in the league. Seriously, it's ten weeks. Two and a half months of weekends. That's not that much to commit to, and if you have a decent number on your roster, not everyone needs to show up every weekend. Yes, you should play if you're having fun, but don't fuck the rest of the league because you lost a game.
I'm not trying to be a dick here, really, but these things should be a little more thought-out. You may not owe anything to your squad (a notion which I also find kind of funny), but you definitely owe it to the rest of the teams that can be a cohesive unit for ten weeks to finish it out.
I dont think any1 on Shriek planned to have this occur, things just fell apart. See my stance on things in TW has changed. I used to care a lot; about loyalty, friendships, helping out other players and even staff. Then i got repeatedly shafted and the fun just drained out the game, so no i dont feel a player owes anything beyondy what they promised to their squad and almost nothing to the league. Im disappointed for my Shriek teammates because i know that a lot of them were eager to continue on in TWL, as for the other squads i could really care less how it affects them. I dont consider it a privledge to play in TWL, maybe i take it for granted, but if a squad im on gets into a league i take it to mean that we earned the right to play there. We werent looking to screw any1 over here, the only ppl who really have any right to be upset are players in Shriek. Every1 involved with the league should be happy they were able to play against a great competitive squad like us while we were around and be sry to see us leave, not angry or annoyed.
First of all, I want to state that I enjoyed having Shriek in league play. They were a squad with a lot of talent and were generally good guys.
I'm just tired of the selective apathy that has the tendency to run rampant among squads. People complain about leagues not running on time (or more likely, not running on their schedule), league mismanagement, or leagues in general, then turn around and say things like "I don't owe anything to the league." Fuck that. I don't play in a lot of our TWL games, but I'm constantly aware that I'm using a system that a lot of people have donated a shitload of their personal time for. I owe something to make the league better... we all do.
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.
The only TWOTIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

Actually, for the most part i definetely agree with u. Im glad there are still players who generally have a good time, try to help out / be active, and appreciate whats being done for them. I was just talking about my own personal feelings, which i hope arnt mirrored by many others. I REALLY dont want to go into any length about it since no1 wants to hear it. Suffice to say i stopped caring altogether for good reasons. The only thing that bugs me right now is that when i got the message from Annul saying he was dissolving Shriek, i didnt care at all (save maybe thinking how some members would be disappointed). The league owes me more than i owe it -gives the finger to the league- hehe

Nope, it pretty much is.

I agree about the roosterlock fucking it up. The two week pause were after lock right? If so, then squads who are in problems needs to hold on for additional 2 weeks. If some1 leaves during that period then they still can't get a replacement.
Anywayz, sad to see Shriek go
