WR's season is officially at a close, so I can post this stuff without bias now. All my suggestions are for next season, since it's too late to announce these changes now. I write these with TWLB in mind, but some could apply to the other leagues.
Edit: I deleted all the non-relevent bitching. All that matters is that one conference is signifigantly weaker.
I suggest having a wild card for the last playoff spot. Top 3 from each league, after that, the two next best ranked.
Another strange thing almost happened this season. If wr had beaten mambo and lost to shriek, mambo would have gone in ahead of wr to playoffs. WR would have been 3-1 against playoff squads in our conference, 1-1 against playoff squads in the other conference (I count camisade as a playoff squad, they'd shown they could compete). Mambo would have be 0-4 against playoff squads in our conference, and 0-1 against playoff squads in the other conference. This didn't happen, but the fact that it came close is a little unsettling.
I propose to find a better way to do tie breakers. I agree with epi that basing everything off one game (head-to-head) is a little unfair. However, using +/- does nothing to prevent the above scenario. One thought I had was to count the ranking of the teams beaten. Thus beating pallies would give 1 tie breaker point, beating british squad would give you 8...
Lastly, I'm still vaugley unsatisfied with the treatment of replacement squads. Under the current system, if a good squad gets replaced by a good squad, teams that had already played (and maybe lost to) the first squad get a free win, and squads that hadn't still have hard matches. I unfortunatly have no solution to this one.
Anyway, comments are welcome, and if anything is confusing I'll be happy to try to clarify.
