Sorry Sirius. but i don't understand how you can even compare the players on these squads, at least skillwise. But i do agree that I'd rather have a squad that can show the right amount of players to every game, and have funcitonal(even if annoying) leadership. Cynical would have probably dissolved the first week it got into leagues, i mean how many times has this squad tried to form. It has gotten them nowhere, so it proves that no matter how much skill you have on a squad, it doesn't give you the right to join leagues ahead of a team who put in effort and time. Still tho, i wouldn't go as far as comparing -solstice-'s roster to cynical's.

i agree, skillwise their roster owns ours. comparing top 5 vs top 5 though i dont think we are worlds apart.

i didnt mean them jump rite in althought it sounded that way, what i meant was if u want competative squads tehr hasta be a better way then to choose from TWD...maybe choose from top 3 of TWD...dunno

and sirius ther is a big difference in skill between ur roster and theres...also Supremacy played Melee the last week u guys played light yes..but they were lacking very many of there powerhouses (congrats on win tho)...and maybe thats why i say they are a better squad bc i actualy know the leadership there and how mature Desert rat is and acts...as on teh other hand u seem to prove to me some very bad things about how u flame every single person who says something about -solstice- even if it isnt completly bad about them u make it that it is

Quite simple, really. You follow in Cig's path and think anyone who's name you don't recognize sucks. Our top 5 can take any of those rostered individuals out 5 on 5.

Yeah Desert used to be on Solstice and while he was I've gotten to know him and he's a good lad, I agree with you on that - but now the time has come to point out where you fall in the wrong.

Quite frankly, being a complete goody goody captain doesn't make you mature, it just makes you more favorable to the masses (since you have one less person on your ass for your shortcomings). Don't even try to judge my leadership skills from how I act in irrelevant situations such as this, boy. I take my leadership stance from the experience I've gained from being an authority figure in many respects, offline and online, including managing staff and being head op/sysop/social admin/complaints and other fields at online communities of 500-600 people daily.

I approach all situations in accordance to how they are meant. If people are aggressive, I will retort aggressively, if people are reasonable, I will retort reasonably. Just because I'm not going to sit and watch someone tarnish something I stand for and will retort when attacked, doesn't mean that I'm the evil one here. After all, all I'm doing is retorting against someone who started it. If people took a mature and rational approach towards pointing out things, perhaps something they don't like about me or Solstice etc., instead of throwing a heated ignorant flame, then I too would respond rationally and neutrally, perhaps even reason with them.

for your information, emerald was the 2nd incarnation of melee's farm team. it had the same leaders but decided it wanted to succeed in twd rather than just dick around. they got first in twdd (which was their goal) and then dissolved. they weren't looking to make ld aside from a few melee/melee farm team twld finals jokes.

the squad dissolved, their squadleaders came back to melee, and i had a chance to scout out a few potential people for the future.

just thought i'd clear that up for ya.

13/15? 14/15? 15/15? i don't know the exact ratio, but the majority of those players came from twl squads (and really screwed the squads they were leaving over in terms of their lineups). no way should they be allowed in twld, people shouldn't be rewarded for squad jumping. allowing them in doesn't increase the competativeness of the leagues, it just encourages less competition.

3rd Luckily i bring up cripples like that bc i KNOW what happend in cripples this season...i dont know what happend in them other squads to say if htey deserve nething or not...but from all the heat cripples took from everyone i think they should be proud of just gettign through the season....unlike some of the squads everone was priasing early on in the season

The way I said it is how - just in case you misunderstood something again, I wasn't implying that our top 5 can mop the floor with them 10 out of 10 times, out of a few games we'll win, they'll win, neither squad would hold a strong ground against the other absolutely I don't believe. But, the fact remains that our top 5 can beat theirs. That doesn't mean their top 5 can't beat ours.

If either squads care to take their top 5 and arrange a twdd or two to find out, that's fine with me.

Ok ok Since twleagues and squads seem to be averaging more and more people, can we slow the ship speed down and bullet speed to reduce lag, wtf em saying i sound like sirius. ok ok no how about next season twld 6v6 like stepping up from the minors (twdd) 5 (twld) 6 players, give more people a chance to play for the bigger squads, Or maybe it should be the other way around twdd six players lets captains see who teams up with at least one other player real well. Just an idea.

they actually have a roster lock .... there is a trade deadline for players ...... after that deadline u can trade but those players wont get to play

the nhl has a trade deadline a couple weeks before the playoffs, and a playoff lock where you can only make callups in the event of injuries.

the fact of the matter remains however, that those players are already in the nhl club's system (extended team), which is a little different from grabbing a player not on your squad after the roster lock passes (i don't say bad, but different)
