Ladies and Gentlemen, TWL is officially over so I think it’s time to present my official Nickname Awards
Next season look for preseason predictions – awards and other interesting stuff – I know you can’t wait.
Rookie of the Year: he is one of the best current Javelins and a feared competitor. He’s a solid wb and next season when Sk8 gets in TWLB will be a solid spider or jav. Within the next year he will be on my top 10 twljers or all time, perhaps even top 5. Amputate has gone a long way from his days as Jet Newbie, and not far to go until he’s one of the best ever.
Most Improved TWLD – Player. I have a three way tie for this title. Vihta was always a strong warbird, but his perfect attendance and his ability to shift gamestyles lead Elusive to the TWLD title. Mattey was also a strong warbird heading into this season, but he turned into Pallies. This player may or may not have played in twl before, I’m really not sure. But he can do anything for you in a wb. Ripper helped Rampage become the most feared squad in twld and joins Mattey and Vihta as the most improved TWLD players.
Most Improved TWLJ – Player. This player took his team as far as he could, and with his new team may challenge for the TWLJ title next season. Koan become one of the 10 best current javers in his search for the W’s for wr. Koan is your most improved TWLJ player.Honourable mention goes to Rough.
Most Improved TWLB – Player. A TWLB team is based 100% on it’s terrier. Two terriers went above and beyond this season, in my view, and are the joint winners of the title this year. WingZero and Pure_Luck showed that they can compete with and beat the big boys taking there teams far. Congratulations.
Most Improved TWLer: I gave this to two men, because I didn’t want to give 3 men the TWLB most improved Player award. Sleepy weasel stepped up his game in all 3 leagues and became one of the best all around players. This other player only really improved a lot in 1 league, but he improved in it so much that his average kill in a spider is 160 (WOW!) M_M God and Sleepy Fucking Weasel are the Most Improved TWLers
Most Improved TWLD – Team. This team had always had the talent but had never gone anywhere near this far. Either they didn’t make the playoffs or didn’t go far last season. This season they powered there way to the finals and looked good doing it. They were the sleeper this season in a weaker division that to many people underestimated. The most improved TWLD team is Melee
Most Improved TWLJ – TeamA Not a huge competition here. Pallies, Elusive and Sk8 all were way up at the top of TWLJ but one squad was untouchable. With recruits the likes of Lemon, Appleseed and Download and the other members picking up all the slack they marched on to the TWLJ title. The most improved TWLJ team is Disoblige
Most Improved TWLB – Team. I’m very proud of this team. They started this season in an absolute shambles. They had lost more than half there starting roster from the previous season and some of there vets were very inactive. They battled hard to get a good roster again only to see a few more solid starters leave. They kept battling though and turned in a 4th place position of which they should be VERY proud. They’ll be back next year ready for another shot at the top. Your most improved TWLB team is Anti-Scrub
Best New TWLD – Team A blind man can pick this. Rampage was unstoppable during the regular season. They went 10-0 and got every kill possible this season. The boys from Rampage may have choked, but they earned this. The best new TWLD team is Rampage. Honourable Mention goes to Egyptian as they powered to a strong season.
Best New TWLJ – Team Another hard award. Rampage, Value, Whiterabbits, Ancients (maybe melee I’m not sure), burning rose and mambo were all new teams. Rampage was hands down the biggest team in this category and would have won, had they not choked so hard on diso’s schlong with a mighty 50-29 loss. Actually, look at the other squads, they all have mighty negative records… So as shameful as it is, the best new TWLJ squad is Rampage
Best New TWLB – Team: Plenty of contenders here, Camisade, Mambo, Melee, War Angels, Rampage, Elusive, Burning Rose, Solstice and Spastic were all first time TWLBers (that’s 9 out of 16) Mambo, Spastic and Elusive all got to the conference finals. As I right this, Spastic is in round 1 of the TWLB finals and winning big time, but I won’t give them my twlb most improved team award because they were all heavy baser before on LT and other squads. Instead I give this award to Mambo. Credit Account powered his squad from the bottom to the top this year, with a fairly weak roster and only a decent starting line. That’s tough. GG fellas!
Most Improved TWL Team: nobody really improved on all fronts. Wr got up in javs but fell in base, same goes for pallies. To many teams got hurt by attendance issues. One squad though, improved in all leagues (Sort off) Elusive went from TWLJ winners to runner ups but jumped from TWLD semifinalists to winners and from nothing to TWLB semifinalists. GJ Elusive, you had a good run.
Team Most likely to win next TWLD: Is so very up in the air. Elusive and Rampage are gone and there talent is up in the air. So many squads come and go that’s it’s almost impossible to tell. Instead look for storng showins from squads we know won’t dissolve – Disoblige, Pallies, Melee, Sk8, whatevername delectable is currently using for his squads and DragonGuard
Team most Likely to win next TWLJ: Whoever picks up all the stray Elusive talent
Actually, assuming that all the big name talent spreads out nicely, look for a TWLJ final of Pallies vs Disoblige (omg, not in base? Yeah, that’s what I thought)
Team most likely to win next TWLB: Disoblige will be there, so will Spastic, Pallies, Sk8, A-S, wr and others. I predict the next twlb final to be between British Squad and BATS (Wing-ed creatures of the night *flap flap*)
The worst team in TWL award: No Surrender. NS went a solid 2-28 this TWL..so sadly, they could do even worse next season.

TWLD: Elemental on No Surrender: He attempted to ad some validity to there TWLD spot
TWLJ: Koan on whiterabbits. Whiterabbits single javelin standout star. The rabbits are solid but it was koan trying to be the magician to get the wins.
TWLB: Valiant of British Squad. Valiant did all he could so that his team wouldn’t go 0-10, well he didn’t try hard enough.
The overall Trench Wars League Most Valuable Player (TWL MVP looked dumb) This award is to symbolize the single greatest contributor to any team in twl. This player came into a strong team but the team was strong in other leagues, he shaped, molded and fixed them set on the prize. He was without a doubt the TWLJ mvp and my personal mvp of twl, without him Disoblige would not have won the championship, or even got there. He’ mvp 4 games this twl, played in 9 out of 10 regular season twlj, had a record of 94-53 for a +41. His name - Download
