When vs 2 javs, a championship-caliber team would play in lower, spreading out, hunting down slow recharge javs.

Thanks for the "new" comment.

What I was getting at is if you were in the situation (on the defensive side) of pushing out (or being pushed back in- hey, it happens) then two javs wouldn't really be effective against you in a cram or a line situation.

I try to teach them as much as I know, such as the cram, lining, or basic shark usage. We've made leagues of progression from the basing team we used to be, but there's always room for improvement.

Not anymore you don't, no regular ?go base team can really hold together a cram, nor can they line, or the attacking team just doesn't know how to attack, i don't think ?go base isn't as cracked up as it used to be

2 jav strat is a high impact low point kind of strat (fast breaking in and keeping everything out). The whole point of having two javs is blasting everything away. So a team with 2 javs in it would only benifit from defending a flagroom (using lines and mining sharks).

Once they're thrown out, opposing team (lets say 5 spiders), if not new, would spread their fire-power in lower making it very hard for javs to be of any use. You shouldn't even attempt to cram vs 2 javs...nor line for that matter...but push out.

The more ppl you pile together and the more you sit still, the bigger the target you are. Simple as that.

Understood Crv. What I'm getting at is that if your terrier is shot down, but the rest of your team holds the flagroom until your terrier is just about in, and the other team is stuck in the enterence (or lines), you have to fight them off. Of course you should be pushing out, but at the time, you're in the enterence, you're a target. My original statement was that a good shark would prevent any sort of damage from occuring when this happens.

the basing map fucking sucks.
some people seem to think everything is fine because it is possible to beat a cram, and there seems to be this general feeling of hope that someone will find some ez way to beat it every time and it will just disappear. whether its beatable, whether someone could possibly theorize some new way to neutralize it, none of this matters...what matters is that it seems like basing atleast among the best squads is getting closer and closer to the point where it just revolves around how good you can cram/break cram. i want to tear my eyeballs out when i see a game between 16 skilled players turn into 14 ships packed into a 1cmX1cm area continously blowing up and warping in for 30 minutes.

I never had much of a problem against cramming teams. I just launched an EMP with my shark and took out the cram like any jav... er... shark should.
