Diso has the potential to win TWLJ again, as well as make finals in TWLD and TWLB, but it dont help that u guys are like most inactive squad in TW rite now, ur heading down same path cripz took where they once owned, went inactive then sucked. I think u guys are smart enough to keep it better theen that tho, but ur lacking activity rite now, maybe it'll rise once TWL comes around, one can only hope bc i like diso =p

We will be in at least semi finals in all leagues, mark my words.

and just for the record quoted directly from the rules postings:

2.02 All playoff squads that participated in the previous Trench Wars Leagues season will be granted automatic admission to play in this season. At a date to be later disclosed by the League Operators, the highest-ranking TWD squads in each division will fill the remaining TWL spots of that division. Squads that dissolved at any time during the previous season, or prior to the new season's start, will have to re-enter Trench Wars Leagues through the TWD system.

here is the only reference to the 50% rule for this season

2.06 If any squad merges with another before the start of the next season, they must at least retain 50% of their roster from the previous season to remain seeded in TWL otherwise the squad will be considered new.

50% rule is stupid anyway. The only advantage that giving playoff teams from the prior season an automatic spot brings the league is that it supports continuity between leagues. Playoff teams have added ability to remain afloat during the offseason, because if the squad's players become inactive or retire it makes it alot easier to attract new talent when new players know that they are joining a guaranteed TWL squad. this helps create a league with squads that have a history, etc. instead of a new crop of 16 names being seen every season.

If you give a squad thats half new with a new name, such as grapevine for example, an automatic TWL spot, youre defeating the purpose of the rule anyway. The rule is there to encourage squads like melee to stick together for another TWL, not half the squad to jump, bring in some new guys, then get a free spot under a new name.

The rule should be that a playoff squad gets a guaranteed spot if and only if it has the same name, and has not dissolved at any time during the offseason. i dont think syndicate deserves a free spot even tho we are half elusive. and i think any other renamed/merged squads do either.

boss just sayingw hat i heard from Cpt. i asked him in Game if u guys got the spot after rand and all them left being uguys pretty much base 24/7 and never wb/jav i think the TWLD spot u guys have (if no 50% roster) is uselss to u guys neway. I heard it from Cpt. but its no real biggy to me =p.

well the problems with these leagues is the "surprises"

as per the rules we have a spot

we have been recruiting DD players and playing a lot of DD matches under the impression we have guaranteed DD and JD spots come league time

whether we accept the spots or not, is up to us, and if we cant feel that we can at least be a competitive team in the league, then im sure the captains of Melee will discuss that and may or may not in the best interests of the league give up those spots

but if the rule are going to magically change again, then Guano needs to state that, so that we know what we are preparing for

All we need is team work ... we are like a raw stone, once we get polished we will become a nice piece of jewer that will shine in the next TWL season.




BTW I am not new in jav dueling, kz. Just because I don't play belim using this name, doesn't mean I am not in belim for at least 2 hours a day

I think we should forget all about the "guaranteed spots" its just making those TWL squads more inactive during the offseason. To get a truellly competitive TWL season the squads have to be active and playing alot. Thats what TWDD does, its the scale to which squads will be invited into TWL and nothing more. So the squads that are playing and are active in TWDD will be the best squads to watch in TWL.

the slight problem wtih that KK, is that any squad can refuse to play any other squad, so the best dont neccessarily rise to the top, but the most active do

and someone can get to, and hold the top spots in the division, simply by playing weak teams

so you wont always have the best squads in, althought the most active should be
