Hey, we've got another RB member claiming they're the best basing squad!

I love how rb started. Formed from players wo individually didn't have what it took to get recruited by the top basing squads. Paul took those rejects, and threw them together in a squad. RB was a schoolexample of how basing revolves arround teamwork and of how 1+1 is more than 2.

Now all i read on these forums is craptalking. Lunch3's motivation is admirable. But he gets carried away more than sometimes and makes his squad look ignorant. I think RB can go a long way in twlb. But saying you will is the worst idea ever. Remember whiterabbits? omg I think arro even predicted against his team last twl just cause he didn't want his squad to disappoint. I'm sure he thought that wr could beat everyone and even win twl but he never stated it.

Today some RB members guarantee people whenever they can that they will do good in twl. Sure u prolly won against every big basingsquad and sure u play 50 games a day. But damn there hasn't even been a date set for twl!! So much can happen to ur squad before twl even lifts off! RB already lost a bunch of good players and more will follow if the order in the squad isnt restored. (Is paul still cap (doubt it)? At least Paul could control his 'rejects')

And a final remark. When the day comes that you guyz start your first twl-season filled with hope and a shitload of expectations to live up to, don't you think you'll be nervous? And when you meet big basing squads in twl don't you think they'll want to crush you for your arrogance?

EVERY SQUAD will bring out their best line-up against you. Take no chances. Only one goal: Crush those new guyz who think they're the best.

And you may have as much twd-experience as you want. I'm curious to see if you guyz play at least half as good as you say you play when it comes down to those 30 minutes with 100 people in spec. Cope with unexpected problems like lagouts and laggy opponents. Keep your head cool when it matters.

Little conclusion. Rejected Basers have undeniable talent and motivation. But by proclaiming their almost certain succes in next twl left and right, they've seriously reduced their chances to do good. Disappointement is almost inevitable, and they'll have nobody but theirselves to blame for it.

we'll do our best like everyone else, i hope we get far, but who knows.but as cig smoke said its our first twl and regardless of the outcome we will be a stronger team by the time its over.and i do think there will be some future stars to come out of this squad.

When wr entered twl, we were unproven in every imaginable way. (Okay, we beat brushfire, big deal) 90% of our roster was almost completely unheard of. But we were given a chance, and were damn thankful. So we were somewhat humble (a generalization, I know. We weren't all that way). We had to prove ourselves. ?Go base and TWD removed these elements from TWL. To be in TWL, you've already proven yourself to some extent (Although with eleven openings, let us see if that is true) No humility is needed.

I love how Spastic started. Formed by some newbie pubbers and LTers who wanted to prove that even LTers have some skill. We relished the role of the underdog, being the Seabiscuit and Florida Marlins. I think the lower expectations of others helped us but I think like warp said we were confident inside.

I like this trashtalking by RB very much. It shows that they're confident and think they can beat anyone. Some may say it's ignorant or arrogant, eh, I kind of like the attitude. I think it shows that they're fired up and not intimidated.

But despite this confidence, I still can't wait to see RB's first TWL match ever when they get pitted against Diso. The only time they'll get the flag is when warportal warps out to keep his precious bounty at 900 with 5 minutes left and ends up at 75-0.

My comment does not imply that we'll be kicking ass in TWL. It was supposed to mean that whether good or bad.. RB will remain and become synonymous with basing as Kleenex is synonymous with tissue.

It's about being a popular squad, aside from the idea of whether we'll be good or not.

Good players aren't always good team players. We haven't lost anyone significantly talented - who's a good team player - that will help us do what we got to do for TWL.

As for as the leadership of RB... We are extremely organized.. beyond any and every level under the previous owner.

...And whatever the reason for RB starting up in the beginning is now a moot point. We are a completely different squad with completely different ideals and completely different goals with completely different standards.... And Damnit, we're doing pretty good!

Heaven, the squad was made for people who weren't being picked, or picked often in #mythrandir (arc-lite + n0vaflash aka Fit of Rage) and/or people who pubbed a lot, showed a lot of willingness to base (Your wife, Panhandler). You totaly changed your values of the original MEANING of the squad name. The name means nothing to you guys anymore, nor the Trench Wars population.

At first, I was against you changing your ways of recruitment, but I'm fine with that now, it's your squad, do whatever you want... but don't use the oxymoronic name you're using right now, WITH these NEW values.

The squad was made for one reason and lives on for another.

WorstPlayerEver is the owner of this squad. I suppose she should change her name too since she's not really the worst player ever. It's just a name and we like it. So get over it. K?
