TW CUP 2025 second week review
In turbulent times, that TW is facing, zone once again for couple of hours awoke and provided us some entertaining matches, surprising performances and unfortunate circumstances. Lets see what happened:
WARBIRD:
Warbird season has moved on with full speed with most games played (most of teams only have 3 games left for main season).
Avengers (2-0 over weekend) - Iron Survivors team was in full throttle. As a warmup Happy Hippos were dismantled with +18 score with everyone besides paky dude giving great performance. In second game similar domination happened against Alieexpress with team finally clicking together and giving very well organized performance. Iron/morph/okyo/rough/paky looks like team to beat for now and Avengers take lead in table.
Prime (2-1 over weekend) - Prime was obviously in shock after Monday loss and managed to forfeit their first game vs Alieexpress. Looked like also second was going to be forfeit, but Happy Hippos were kind enough to wait a bit, so dwopple, renzi and racka made dramatic entrace and made hippos regret that decision, as prime controlled the game comfortably and scored a win. Prime was also successful getting revenge on Ethereal, with racka this time not taking any chances with great 18-7 MVP performance. So somewhat lucky, but still positive 2-1 weekend for Prime.
Alieexpress (2-1 over weekend) - Siaxis had some some great persuasion over the week and almost all of his team showed up. In first game they did not even need it as Prime wasnt anywhere to be seen. In second game they destroyed Ethereal with Siaxis leading they way with 17-8 and Geio being almost impossible to kill with 11-2. So hype was at maximum when they had to finally face a really strong team in Avengers in last round. But that game was really something they want to forget. Rampage, who had great weekend last time, dissapointed this time with continued poor performances 6-10 and 3-10, maybe he was just distracted after finding out he is now this cup head-op or got scared of my message in increasing his vp for next draft league.
Congrats Rampage anyways for promotion!. Rest of team failed to do anything against Avengers great teaming and invidual skills with everyone on team going negative in the end. Still a positive weekend and some crucial points scored.
Happy Hippos (0-2 over weekend) - Bike was gone and team was in disarray as hippos faced completely opposite weekend compared to first one. First they got destroyed by Avengers without anyone going positive despite loads of subs going on. Then they were kind enough to wait for Prime to show, just for them to dominate without single player going positive again. So definitely weekend to forget for bike and crew.
Ethereal (0-2 over weekend) - Despite Ekko claiming to win wb this season, team performances in games really dont provide and optimism for this team. Both games were rather one-sided affairs as Ethereal lost to Alieexpress and then to Prime in revenge match. Sure, they seem to have good team-work at times, but personal quality on average in wb is just lower compared to all other teams. Lets see if FA draft can bring some added skills to Ethereal to really provide challenge.

JAVELIN:
Monster (2-0 over weekend) - Monster continued where they left last weekend with several dominant performances and look to be the nr contender for title now with all games won so far. First they destroyed Pub crackheads and then Terrorist. Looking at table, both of those teams look to be biggest challengers for Monster, so definitely a statement. To top the weekend, traded byakko for bombed. Time will tell if it was a good or bad trade, for now looks to be that both teams could benefit from this. Unmotivated Bombed gets his move and Temu hopefully bringing some freshness and positivity to Ekkos team.
Pub Crackheads (1-1 over weekend) - Stayons team with Terrorist currently held the biggest challenger role to Monster. But their game against Monster was poor with only captain Stayon giving proper performance with captain lonestar being biggest culprit with 3-10. IN second game vs Etherreal they improved considerably, they had different roster for that as well with everyone doing good job.
Terrorist (1-1 over weekend) - Terrorist has similar weekend as crackheads. Game vs Pure Luck was very solid, besides Jabra having a poor weekend. But game vs Monster was complete clusterfuck with Jabra leaving, zizu suddenly getting lag issues again, so many subs and terrorist never got game going. Definitely room for improvement for this team, but they still looking like playoff team in this league.
Pure Luck (0-1 over weekend) - PL only had 1 game this weekend, where they even managed to take out Jabra to have 5v4 situation, but racka decided to return a favor and go out fast with 3-10!. Now people telling me i am hating on Racka for some reason. No i am not, but looking at data and how he does in games, he has now exactly same stats as rabbit! 7* in pure luck. Both rabbit and racka are lowest ranked with K/D ratio in entire league with -10.
Ethereal (0-1 over weekend) - Ekkos team follows PL in this league with both teams still looking for first win. In similar fashion, Ethereal also had 10* player pulling a "racka", with bombed 2-10 going out in 7th minute main thing that catches your attention on scoreboard. So no wonder Ekko decided to move and trade bombed for temu. Otherwise ekkos team played pretty decent game, so i can see them being more of the challenge with new additions and maybe some FA picks.
BASE:
Caped Crusaders (2-0 over weekend) - Renzis team keeps dominating base games with another perfect weekend behind them. First they took out Ethereal in what was at the time match between 2 undefeated teams. In second game they took out Crab Champions. So things are looking very positive for renzi and the crew, menelvagor really performing great as terrier, hulk doing hulk things and renzi/hellkite duo ripping opponents apart.
Terrorist (1-0 over weekend) - Terrorist gave probably the best performance of weekend with over 7 minutes win vs Only Teks. Terrorist had all key people online and showed its potential and can look very positive for rest of season. Last weekend will be very tough for terrorist with 3 games in a row, lets see how that goes.
OnlyTeks (1-1 over weekend) - Onlyteks managed to take out crab champions, but i would say were a bit lucky with zizu lagging out as terr at crucial moments, as game was pretty tight at times with tiny not really shining in terrier. Tiny issues were even more present in game vs Terrorist, where at some point they were trailing with 9 minutes, but zizzo switching to terr helped them make sort of comeback. Food for thought about team selection for dwopple for future.
Ethereal (0-1 over weekend) - Ekkos team had crucial match vs another favorite caped crusaders. It was pretty equal game, but in the end Ethereal had to face loss. Base tournament has had slow start in this cup, but games are going to pick up now, so teams will have more to do.
Crab Champions (0-2 over weekend) - zizu was the unluckiest person of weekend. Of course his team lost both games, but he was also struggling with lag and probably made things alot more complicated for the team. Hopefully he can pick it up as for now, they are yet to win a game in this league.
So what to look for? Focus will move away from wb to jav and base. There will be some unusually early jav games, lets see how things affect showup. Also FA draft is coming and first big trade of season happened. Exciting times ahead.
