Anyways, how is Zizu an 8 in warbird? Not knocking the guy, but he's up there with the lot of us who are actually, well, "warbirds".

Zizu (along with Ground Zero) led Sage to a 7-4 TWLD record and the playoffs with a 115-91 (1.26) despite them being predicted by most to win a couple of games tops. Let's just say he had more of an impact on TWLD than you did last season.

And Domi will be a 10 soon I have a feeling.

If you are a 5*, then so am I! I demand to be lowered, because it does my terrible skills a disservice to place me as a 7* in any ship. Please make me at least a 6* in wb, because as previously stated, I did not play TWL last season except for one game, and I was a sub. Based on TWL criteria, that makes me a 5 or 6* in the gray ship! Thanks!

Yeah... I guess I have been sounding like a big douchebag lately on this thread. I'm not really trying to complain or anything... I was more wanting to get some honest opinions. Blackmage gave his, and I appreciate it. I think my biggest thing is... if I am a bad player, usually there is some reason you can point out. I understand how some people are viewing the ratings, but I guess they could be viewed a little differently as well, I know that I originally did. For instance, if someone has the SKILL to be a consistent TWL starter, I would consider giving them a 7 rating. The 6 star rule was made to employ strategy and give some of the "lesser" players to get a chance to shine. So, if someone has the SKILL to be a consistent TWL starter, but just hasn't played league for whatever reason, that gives the team that drafts him a huge advantage, as you have a player with the skill to be a consistent TWL starter playing in a spot that most teams will have a player that won't be quite on the same level as they are.

While I know that some will say you can't really judge that level of talent until they play TWL, I disagree. If someone like Ease or Mega, or, even the use of a 7 just to prove my point, a2m didn't play TWL, and you watched them play in TWD matches etc, you could easily tell that they are players that have the skill to play in TWL. Heck, how do you think people decide to put new players in their lineup season after season?

Point being if you don't give people a 7 based purely on their skill, because they haven't consistently started in TWL, it puts other teams at a huge disadvantage to the teams who end up drafting those couple of players.

There is a clause in the rules that gives us the right to adjust people who have demonstrated exceptional skill to higher ratings. Someone who has never played TWLD but is quite apparently the rape in wb can be adjusted if seen fit. That said, it is extremely rare, and I make it require a compelling case.

As for your, just watch these people, argument. Those who did ratings are only 12 people, with a collective 24 eyes. Not every game can be watched, people have other obligations to life and to the zone. Games are quite fluid, and so are people's performances, while the statistics they leave behind are static and unchanging. So I encourage those who rate to use statistics as the primary source of their reasoning. Doing so also eliminates a lot of the subjective "he said, she said" and alliance type rating.

As for the 6* rule, it has changed from its initial intent. Originally, you are correct, it was meant to allow "lesser" players to get some experience with "the big dogs". However, in practice it has become something quite different. Now its intent is moreso to allow some of the mid to top tier twd players and new up and coming twl players to get a foothold in the calibre of twl competition and perhaps make enough of a name/impression to land themselves in TWL competition. The 6* rule is more a jumping-off point now, quite different from its initial intent.

All of this said, I do appreciate all of the feedback I have been receiving, and I hope my feedback is substantial/satisfying enough. If you want me to simply shut up, then let me know.

You did it for some, but you should put what you think all the people should be, not what they shouldn't be. Also, and fairly sure this affected m_m god's rating, the twdt restriction on spiders and mandatory use of a special ship gives some players added value in basing.
