    Hi Cripple <3

I don't have anything food related, I just wanted to say I love the word "plethora"

when I get to making them, here's how I do it

-usually buy French bread/focaccia and toast it a little, then go crazy w/ the mustard
-I don't use pickles, I like jalapenos/onions (the restaurant where I first had it throws tomatoes in there as well)
-for the meats I use glazed ham/roasted pork/salami, with swiss cheese

I use piri-piri (peri peri?) peppers instead of serranos, habaneros, jalapenos etc. not very flavorful, just a lot of heat, not crazy better than any guac I've tried, but it's spicy as fuck

I don't really spend a lot of time talkin' food so I don't know how to properly explain it, but I always feel like my homemade attempts just fall flat when it comes to preparing the pork. I've tried a few different marinades that go real heavy on citrus, usually a lot of lime/lemon but I've been told to use oranges as well... but it never really seems to come out in the meat itself (which is usually a shoulder roast)

Like I'm sure I could keep at this and figure it out but I'm waiting for cripple to log in and post his auntie dio mio de tio's secret pork papichulo marinade so I can just live the dream

edit: holy shit. I just realized I'm 27 and have my own kitchen and a budget for groceries. Time to go check out Pusher's recipe thread and start fucking around

Only advice I need is how to up my cuban sandwich game. No joke, I'm addicted, but when I try to make them at home they never come out right. What's the secret papi?

edit: just realized i should mention this is a 100% serious post, I've read there's alot of cuban sandwich joints all over FL. here we have something like it called the "muffaletta" but it's real heavy and greasy like most of our food, and locally there's only ONE place that makes a decent cuban. Well I don't know if it's a decent cuban, it's the only place I can get 'em.
