okyo's TWDT-D Week 2 Hot or Not
(poster's note: the formatting is being a real pain, not letting me edit after preview, so this is my best shot without being able to edit. Apologies okyo)
I didn’t want to continue writing the hot or nots because they waste a lot of my sweet time away, something that could be used to do more productive stuff during the day. It’s even worse when I don’t know how to hold back when it comes to doing stuff like this (see draft review).
Trasher insisted that I write the thread however, and given my mood, I happily obliged. NOTE: I took no time to edit this thing.
ALF vs Terrorist
50 – 26
Given that Terrorist has very few warbirds, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see the team suffer from a devastating defeat at the hands of an established warbird team like ALF. Mythril (12-7) and not u (13-7) formed quite the dynamic duo in this match, steamrolling past Terrorist, with WAR (8-10) and skyforger (6-10) doing everything they could to stop the rampage.
LOL… I’m just joking. No one did anything to stop the onslaught. Terrorist just got brutally murdered. Major Crisis once again proved that he is a more competent warbird than javelin. Hahaha.
HOT: Mythril and not u. I think they should play TWL together next season. Their performance was delightful…certainly one-of-a-kind.
NOT: Rasaq.
Power vs Baratheon
50 – 31
It is a shame that Ricko wasn’t picked until the 8th round or something in the draft. Seems like most people have lost their trust in his abilities, but I think he is arguably Power’s best warbird. Despite Baratheon being among the weakest warbird team, they still managed to field a very strong warbird lineup.
This match went pretty much how it should have gone: Ricko (17-9) going completely berserk on his former partner Kentaro (2-10), allowing him to only inhale oxygen 4 times during the match. Rumors of Kentaro’s asphyxiation were circulating around the Trench Wars community momentarily after. I hope he’s okay now.
Despite not being a warbird, Trasher’s (12-3) passive nature allowed him to emerge victorious in the midst of bloodshed without much injury. Although Ricko racked up 17 kills, he lost 6 liters of blood in the process (9 deaths). Trasher on the other hand only bled from his eye.
HOT: Ricko and Trasher
NOT: Kentaro. He hasn’t been playing much.
Brexit vs Paladin
50 – 37
Brexit wins this game!
Brexit, the strongest warbird team according to Ogron, dismantled Paladin in a very heated match where egos were on the line. I didn’t exactly share Ogron’s opinions before the free agency draft, but with Ease joining their already powerful warbird lineup, it is clear that they’re now the team to beat.
To give a detailed breakdown of the match, Iron Survivor did exactly what he has done for the past couple of years. He relentlessly slapped RaCka around the map for a good 15 minutes like how Siaxis slaps his fish, showing no mercy. My sources have informed me that RaCka’s fingers trembled as he desperately pm’ed Iron Survivor mid-game, begging him to spare his life. The game ended with poor Jessup undeservingly being the recipient of RaCka’s wrath. Jessup ran off to the forums and chose to relinquish his captainship as he could no longer endure the constant waves of abuse.
LaSenza played very well as usual, but was unfortunately let down by fellow warbirds (Tripin and RaCka) who seem incapable of ever going plus in their own ships, despite being rated quite high in the star-ratings sheet created by vys.
HOT: Temujin (11-6) for having the best K: D and being merely a 7*
NOT: NO NAMES… But a certain man is incapable of going plus in his own ship in the year 2017… NO NAMES.
Power vs Terrorist
50 – 24
Once again, Terrorist suffered from a tragic defeat, but at the hands of Power this time. I find it funny that this matchup is nearly a replica of what transpired between ALF and Terrorist. Rasaq went 5-10 again… WAR went 7-10 and was just a little short from being 8-10… I remember being 6-6 at some point during the game, and then, without my understanding, I suddenly racked up 14 kills in less than 50 seconds. Perhaps I activated my special ability that so many people in this game fear: the VPN. The VPN, as described by Helios AKA J-B-Inc is a software that allows me eat a bullet at will. I think it’s pretty accurate. One of my source informed me that Up in Ya !! investigated me for 3 months straight, trying to figure out exactly how my magic manifested. Well, I guess it’s out in the open now.
HOT: okyo
NOT: Rasaq
ALF vs Brexit
50 – 29
Contrary to what I had expected, ALF destroyed Brexit quite easily, putting up a balanced team effort. It seems that Brexit needed their captain Attacks in the game to stand any chance. However, Attacks was out doing more important stuff such as butt-bumming people and decided that his team could eat shit for the time being.
Everyone on ALF did pretty well. Major Crisis (5-7)—I’m sure he did pretty well too. On the other side, everyone on Brexit put up a balanced team effort in losing.
HOT: ALF
NOT: Brexit
Baratheon vs Paladin
50 – 44
Match of the week
This was quite an exciting game to be honest. It seemed impossible for Paladin to lose to Baratheon on paper, as they had a full warbird line. But I guess anything—even the most unexpected things—can happen in life.
Ogron, despite not being a warbird, is someone who clearly understands how to team and support his lead warbirds (Kentaro and Spezza) and this is exactly what manifested in this match. Baratheon only emerged victorious because Ogron was able to slam Tripin, who was on his final death, putting him back where he originally belonged anyways: the spectator ship. The Ogron Onslaught didn’t stop there. He SCHLONGED RaCka in a clutch-moment, causing his cheeks to become soaring-red like he’d just caught cancer and allowing a fellow teammate to put the nail in RaCka’s coffin.
LaSenza played well, but was not able to stop the Ogron Onslaught and Blazier, who played extremely carefully in order to not fall into some of LaSenza’s trap shot that many of us know very well.
HOT: Ogron and Blazier
NOT: NO NAMES… but a certain man took a dump in the toilet after suffering a brutal defeat in order to lose some weight. He lost 5 pounds. His philosophy is that the more obese you are, the better you are in javelin. Conversely, the less obese you are, the better you are in warbird.
