Things have really gotten spicy after the end of Week 5 warbird, as there has been quite a jumble on the mid-to-lower end of the standings ladder. Two more weeks of games, contending for playoffs can be anyone's game now.
GAME 1
Pure Luck vs Terrorist
50-41
FA additions Singer and Pineapple Express made the necessary impact required for their team's weakest division against an opponent who was missing a few instrumental pieces in their top lineup in vys and Sprackle. Pure Luck nabbed an early lead thanks to an excellent 6-2 start by Singer. MC put in a monster effort, but the shortcomings by the rest of his team showed the problems Terrorist is faced with without their top 10*.1-1 matchup.
Hot: Singer (18-9), Hackysack (10-5), Major Crisis (17-10)
Not: maketso (5-10) Guess you felt the cruelty of reality slap you across the face without your top warbirds to play behind.
Power vs Criminal
50-37
At the start of this match Criminal started with an advantage led by Zizzo 4-1 and RaCka 5-1. However, similar to several games in the past Power found their footing and gradually overtook the lead in the mid 30s. Okyo switched on this game, funneling that Potenza magic to keep the kills rolling. Power 2-0 matchup.
Hot: Okyo (14-5)
Not: Legacy (6-10)
Spider vs Halo
46-50
The third of three warbirds who have shown the most value in the FA draft (LaSenza/Singer), Rasaq put a garugatan effort but unfortunately fell slightly short towards the end. JAMAL came into the game seeking redemption for his past failures in ship 1, and redemption is exactly what he got as he got the big KO on captain Mhz to make it a 2v1 against Rasaq. And surely enough, he and Flew teaming up did the trick to take out Rasaq's last death and seal the win for Halo. Shoutout to yeH for stepping in to save a sub-par performance by Zapata. Halo 2-0 matchup.
Hot: JAMAL (14-7), Rasaq (15-10)
Not: Zapata (3-7), Mikkiz (0-5) Did Halo play this game 6v4? I call appeal. LUL.
Demacia vs Treyway
50-34
Exactly as predicted, as long as the 6* don't particularly suck too bad the double 10* will seal the deal. This time around dynamic duo LaSenza/Iron logged a combined 29 kills, while Trasher provided a stable third string to continue Demacia's hot streak to 3-0. With no captain morph (probably for the best, LOL) nor Maito_chi, Treyway were forced to play trade acquired skyforger which did not pay dividends as he was first eliminated out at 7 minutes. The rest of the team minus trapped played like they did against Halo the previous week, absolutely stomped. More than half the teams faltered against the red hot Demacians, can anyone cool them down? 1-1 matchup.
Hot: Iron Survivor (15-6), LaSenza (14-6)
Not: Kira (5-10), Paky Dude (5-10), Skyforger (6-10)
GAME 2
Demacia vs Terrorist
50-44
In all seriousness, this game was an impressive showing by Terrorist from the early to mid-game in lacking core components. However, as the game approached the end, the trio of LaSenza, Iron, and Trasher proved too much a handful as Demacia broke a slight sweat in continuing to 4 wins and no losses. Terrorist managed to slightly exploit the best way in beating them in targeting the 6*s, but couldn't get the job done. Good efforts by captain DWTrain, Ra and a late sub in Jurassic, but the other three members could not keep up. 1-1 matchup.
Hot: LaSenza (16-7), Iron Survivor (13-8), dreamwin (14-10)
Not: Rucci (0-5), Wirah (3-8) Hard to pick who sucked more, as both contributed the greatest deficits to their respective teams.
Treyway vs Spider
36-50
Rasaq put forth another strong outing to net Spider a W in the blue column for the week. But the highlight for this game, how the fuck does a 6* go almost a 2 KDA? GG Banks, well deserved honor to provide the second string to your guys' leading warbird. Trapped the only one to break even as Treyway continues to fall down the ranks with an abysmal 0-2 Week 5. 1-1 matchup.
Hot: Rasaq (15-7), Banks (11-6)
Not: Kira (5-10) Did Kira put Half-and-Half milk in his coffee today?
Halo vs Power
30-50
A previous close encounter between two strong teams turned out to be a one-sided blowout the second time around. Simply said, just one of those "Wut?" games that just happen as several games before. The trio of Ogron, ro, and okyo decimated the Halo line that lacked Tripin for both games. Power 2-0 matchup.
Hot: ro (17-7), okyo (14-4)
Not: cripple (4-10), JAMAL (5-10)
Criminal vs Pure Luck
36-50
The second team that seems to found a new spark, Pineapple Express and Singer continued to provide their team with strong numbers. However, it was captain Tiny who had the strongest performance, knocking out 2 players before dying out himself to allow the rest of his team to seal the victory. RaCka was the only member to log a + record in a 0-2 slump for the Criminal squad.
Hot: Tiny (14-10), Hackysack (11-7)
Not: mvp (0-5), Geio (4-10)
WEEK 5 MVP: LASENZA (14-6) (16-7)
Note:
okyo (14-5) (14-4)
Singer (18-9) (10-7)
Rasaq (15-10) (15-7)
