GAME 1
FriedLiverAttack vs Giants
50-36
Of course 9* and 10* players are expected to carry their own weight and then some every single game, but when the low stars have outings that are nothing short of ATROCIOUS, they can only do so much. Rucci/Mercede$ were horrific and Legacy had a less-than-ideal performance; Mean Gene did what he could but couldn't salvage from the damage already done. Giants' core only managed to muster a net +1, which didn't do much help either. FLA recorded another one of those "balanced" scorelines across the board as everyone at the minimum broke even, bouncing back from a terrible Week 2.
Hot: spider web (13-10), Collective FLA team
Not: Legacy (2-6), Rucci/Mercede$ (combined 0-10) Care to add some frosting to that big ol donut?
Pure Luck vs Spider
33-50
The game was neck-to-neck from start to midgame with strong starts from opposing sides of Dak 4-1 and Hackysack 5-1. However, Spider's crew gradually gained and controlled the tempo for the rest of the game, holding all PL members to at most 10 kills. It seems like Tiny's actions being the first sporadic trader this season really bit him in the ass this week, as Jurassic dismantled his former team and trading Tripin away for Attacks did not do any favors either. Note to Attacks for narrowly missing Not after catching fire from 3-8 to end an "ok" score, but that fire was way too late.
Hot: Spooder team
Not: i.d. (3-10)
Terrorist vs Stray
50-43
The dynamic duo of beam and bram (I still can't tell the difference between the names if I'm not looking closely enough) combined for 28 kills to remain undefeated in the divison over the span of 5 games, which is an impressive feat. Terrorist nabbed the early lead with a 7-2 start from ol beamir, whilst captain DWTrain entered himself and logged a fair third string score. Ease, Rough, and Ixador had good rounds for Stray, but the other two slots including captain Zapata weighed them down.
Hot: bram (14-9, 4 KOs!), beam (14-9)
Not: Zapata (6-10), Spectacular (3-7) What's so spectacular about that outing?
Treyway vs Power
50-40
Looks like morph made a smart move in trading away Attacks for Tripin in his setup with a top heavy lineup. His core 3 yielded a staggering +18, which made up for Unlimited's poor performance. Shoutout to Anonym for a very respectable breakeven 10-10, as having that sort of performance coming from a low star is much more important than a top rank warbird having 15+ kills imo. Okyo and Cloth were the only two respectable scores this round for Power, as the other 3 went -. Did Power try to ddos Treyway at the end? 7 LO? haha
Hot: Tripin (14-5), Lockdown (11-5)
Not: Unlimited (2-10), zidane (3-10) Uhhhh....getting only one more kill than an opposing 6*....trying to lower your star rank?
GAME 2
FriedLiverAttack vs Treyway
48-50
FLA grabbed the early lead for the round, fueled by a fiery 8-4 by Ardour and a 1-5 poor start from Unlmiited yet again. However, Treyway were far from finished as they maintained within striking distance the entire way through and turned up the heat late game. Pickoffs from RaCka and Tripin, and even a MASSIVE stray from Unlimited gave Treyway the upset victory and a 2-0 week. Trasher tried to superman it after knocking RaCka out, but Lockdown clinched it in a 2v1 with Unlimited's added pressure to result a 1-1 for FLA. Shows the real importance of being able to stay alive in the entire game.
Hot: RaCka (15-10), Lockdown (14-9)
Not: Ardour (9-10) Sorry bro, having such a magnificent collapse after such a good start, it's shades back to a Wirah performance the past season. And being able to only yield one kill for Trasher with your 6 deaths, turns a potential Hot to a Not. Unlimited narrowly misses Not with his KO.
Power vs Terrorist
40-50
The train just keeps on rolling to 6 consecutive wins and an undefeated 3 weeks for this team poised to win the title this season. Dabram continued his strong outings to show his returning champ's expertise, while trapped continued where he left off to come with a great supporting score. Kudos to Kassius for keeping a kamikaze Paradise performance in check.
Hot: bram (14-9)
Not: Paradise (1-6), Paky Dude (3-10) Better return to your hibernation cave of TWDD and not awake till winter.
Stray vs Pure Luck
45-50
Stray really can't catch a break. They had the early lead (or last time when I checked) with excellent 7-0 Zapata and 8-3 Ease starts. Then, for whatever reason, things went south for them as Singer and Attacks caught fire to lead the way for a bounceback victory for PL and a 1-1 week. PL hammered Stray from long range, having 16 r3 compared to just 9 (kinda ironic due to team names).
Hot: Zapata (16-10), Singer (14-9)
Not: Ease (9-10) For a 10* to go on a streak of 1-7, that was no doubt a key factor in the defeat.
Spider vs Giants
47-50
Isolating the two poor 7* performances, turpin made up for his poor outing during Iron's debut to lead the way for Giants in a needed win to end a 1-1 week, similarly with Spider. Jurassic had an excellent round, but the rest of his team couldn't get the job done to seize the win.
Hot: turban (14-9), Iron Survivor (13-8)
Not: bitsaver (3-10), hoppin (3-10) Always nice to suck with someone else, so you're not the complete scapegoat.
WEEK 3 MVP: BRAM (14-9) (14-9)
MENTION
Lockdown (11-5) (14-9)
Jurassic (10-7) (13-10)
Free Agency draft is just around the corner, it will be exciting to see how it spices up the current team lineups and if any new entries will be able to help their teams continue moving forward!
