Final fantasy VII Sephiroth thingy

I just borrowed FFVII from my friend to beat it for the 3th time , and I remember when i was in trivia in TW, there was a question there about if it was possible to get Sephiroth on your team, and the answer was yes.

I know it has something to do with the soldier item thing.. Does anyone here know how to get Sephiroth on your team?

ANyways here are some rumors I have heard and tried for myself, but none are workable.

1) Collect all 1/12 soldiers and you will be able to dupe either Aeris or Sephiroth. Bullshit

2) Kill Emerald weapon to ressurect Aeris. Even more bullshit. For anyone who doesn't know, when you kill emerald weapon, you get the Earth harp, which can be exchanged for the Master Magic and Master Summon materia. Defeat Ruby Weapon and you get the Desert Rose which trades for a Gold Chocobo. End of that.

3) Something else that is really bullshit but I have never tried because KotR takes WAY too long to master, is to shove 8 mastered KotR into your Ultima Sword, which supposedly turns into Excalibur. SURE...

4) You can also SUPPOSEDLY get Zack by defeating all the soldiers at the bottom of the train tunnel from the 2nd bombing mission, which is impossible. You are then to go the room and collect an item which can heal the Sector 5 number 1 tattoo guy, who turns out to be Zack.

Rob, FF7 was the best ever. Besides I played FF7 when I was what....grade 8? I can't find to finish ANY game right now with my busy university schedule.

hehe.. I used to be totally obsessed with FFVII. I know to know almost everything there was to know about it. It's my favourite game ever

I'm glad Square didn't totally finish off FFVII in a way, adds more mystery to the game. I don't think FFVII would have been as popular if you could revive Aeris.

There's lots of things in the game that don't make total sense, which makes the game even more addicting and fun to play.

Shame, doesn't seem like Square will re-make FF7, they were going to if the FF movie did well but sadly it didn't

Don't you mean the 1/35 soliders? :/ And you actually found all of them?!

There is no point in perpetuating these stupid rumours. They are just that, stupid rumours, that bored 13 year olds made up to cause commotion on the FF7 boards since 1997. There is absolutely, positively, no way to get Sephiroth or Zack on your team without using a cheat device. The game even locks up all the time when you do that.

Think about it for a second; it would totally destroy the plot line if Sephiroth was suddenly able to join your team. Why would he join? Who the hell would you be going to kill at the end, if the ultimate enemy was already on your friggin' team? God...

I know these are all rumours. It's just that Square cut a lot out of the game, so for all you and I know Sephiroth and Zack were going to be playable characters. If Square were planning to make Sephiroth a playable character then he would surely be another clone.

Anyway, 1/35 is the size relative to a real soldier, not how many there are. I am sure Square put these 1/35 Soldiers in, as well as Masamune Blade, Super Sweeper, Tissues, Combat Dairy and Autograph to give the player something to do for absolute completion of the game.

Final Fantasy games have always had useless "key items" that do absolutely nothing. In FF6 they had something like "broken mirror" that did nothing at all.
