Err yes thats not far fetched i know alot of people like that and guess what they spend a ton of time on the computer so it wouldnt surprise me if someone acts that way. It might seem a little extreme (not properly reflect reality) but i took into consideration of the writer therefore i thought he would be a little bias and over exagerate!
If you take into consideration that you think its an overly concerned parent and not a teenager writing the post then it comes pretty obvious that its definelty possible that the themes raised could reflect a parent's view of reality!
I wouldn't have anything against my child being a hacker, but a cracker? hell yes...

(1) The use of "hacker" to mean "security breaker" is a confusion on the part of the mass media. We hackers refuse to recognize that meaning, and continue using the word to mean, "Someone who loves to program and enjoys being clever about it."
Really? I found the tone to be highly satirical, and the public conception of "a hacker" to be very well satirized. In an earlier post, you said that "If you take into consideration that you think its an overly concerned parent and not a teenager writing the post then it comes pretty obvious that its definelty possible that the themes raised could reflect a parent's view of reality!" Well, that's the point of the whole thing, to showcase such a view of reality. That's the satirical part.
Once again, for people who didn't catch it the first time: Calling this a "joke" is inaccurate, and probably the source of the ensuing arguments in this thread. It's not a joke, it's satire, which isn't necessarily supposed to have people rolling on the floor laughing out loud. It's supposed to be funny, but not in the haha sense of the term, but in the "it's not real, but it's scary because it very well could have been" kind of way.
If your complaint was that it wasn't funny, then you're right. It's not supposed to be funny, it's supposed to be satirical.
This may just be my observation but did any one notice that The enforcer is some one who doesn't spend alot of time on the computer/internet has prolly responded to this post in the last how ever long its been up. Dude no body really cares any more if you think its funny or not or what ever you think it is. We would all like you to stop commmenting on it and go post about other things on the forum that you think are funny.... or not.... or what ever.
