DET (1) vs CAL (7) DET in 6 - Detroit is borderline immortal at home, though Calgary managed to get one there during the reg season.. I still see this series taking a similar route as the Nashville one.
SAN (2) vs COL (4) SAN in 7 - Gotta go with the California lovin, here.

EAST
TB (1) vs MON (7) TB in 6 - TB offense + hot Khabibulin = bye bye French Canucks. I give them a generous 6 games.
PHI (3) vs TOR (4) PHI in 7 - Tough choice.. it would be terrible to think all the Canny teams will be eliminated this round, eh? But Philly completely dismantled the Leafs in all of their meetings except one that they edged out, so I'm goin with the home ice.

#1 DET vs. #6 CAL - CAL in 7 - Calgary has the heart to beat Detroit. They need to redo their game against the President Trophy winners and give the puck to their star Iginla who'll win it for them again.
#2 SAN vs. #4 COL - SAN in 6 - Tough match, but San Jose has been silently playing great while Colorado has the most potent team in the NHL. I'm cheering on SAN because they may be the underdog that just might make the playoffs just like how Anaheim did it last year.

#1 TAM vs. #7 MON - TAM in 5 - Montreal fluked Boston only because Raycroft is a rookie and Thornton has a rib injury. Tampa Bay will show them what the NHL playoffs are ALL ABOUT.
#3 PHI vs. #4 TOR - TOR in 6 - Go Leafs Go. Belfour 4 NHL NVP.

I'm a sentimentalist, I want to see Toronto vs Montreal. It's the stuff that hockey legends are made of. Philly might be better rested but they have a couple of injured defencemen. Like the Vancouver vs Calgary series in the first round, this looks to be the most entertaining matchup of the second round. After the dust settles, I think it would be the special teams that decide this series. Montreal and Tampa play a similar style of game, but Theodore is better suited to face his opponent's offence than Khabibulin.

As for the West, I can't really see Calgary upsetting Detroit, even with Iginla playing the way he is. Detroit's just got too much depth. Defensive specialist Alyn Macauley will be a key for the Sharks to neutralize the Colorado forwards, but he's nursing an injury. Like in the East, I predict another old rivalry in the Western final with Detroit versus Colorado.

Toronto vs. Detroit in the finals would be the stuff that dreams are made of, even tho Toronto will probablly get stomped.

Seeing Toronto vs. Montreal in the conference finals would also be awesome
