  • North Korean train accident

While some of you seem more politically aware of news events, you may be interested to know of a collision between trains carrying cars of fuel in North Korea.

Maybe several thousands have been injured or killed, so you may want to remember them in your prayers tonight.
People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."

They weren't riding on the train itself, Cundor. 800 homes around the station where it happened were destroyed. You have to be pretty callous to call people stupid for dying when you didn't even read about what actually happened.

their president kim jung il was reported to have passed through that very station a few hours earlier that day. i think they said 9 hours or so. very odd coincidence. some have speculated that it was a possible assasination attempt...but i doubt it. i can't imagine anyone besides a terrorist organization would authorize something with that much collateral damage, even with a target that high in value.

Accidents happen.. (I'm not saying this should be shrugged off as if it's some accident and shouldn't be looked at in a horrible accident that could have been prevented) Some bigger than others, obviously. I don't think that just because terrorism is more prevalant nowadays, you should assume that an train collision with a large death toll is automatically terrorism. It's ironic, too, because Kim Dae-Jung travels by train because he's afraid to fly.
