Maybe where u live but news, newspapers, magazines are left-wing here because thats what people want to hear (sadly enough) they want to hear how the govt is screwing them over (interesting read for them) and how reading them takes them back to thier rebellious fight the establishment era, children today are being taught left-wing my english class consisted of anti-war poems and novels (all quiet on the western front), feminist readings (the Bell Jar- biogrpahy of Slyva Plath), readings on pro-homosexuality and a novel that claims that the justice system is wrong (story about a serial killer and the other guy who was wrongfully convicted- Broken Lives). So its not surprising that left-wing is predominant among our generation and that the media reflects our society therefore the media is left-wing. Tell me where you live because if the media where you are are right-wing im going to move thier im sick of the biased reporting here.

Completely mis-interpreted wot i said, im all for equal rights (thats what democracy is! and you know that im all for democracy) but the way the school teaches it puts a leftist slant on the topics! In the war issues they talk about the govt and the war effort in a negative light without presenting the full facts, they talk about the fact that homosexuality should be openly discussed in schools and family (like completely) i dont think its neccessary they should just teach tolerance for gays and thats it they shouldnt state its right or wrong just that it exists and there should be tolerance for it unlike our english class they teach the overthrow of societys values and attitudes and how you should be rebellious (remember a short story we studied where told a story how one kid was completely submissive to his homophobic father (even though the story never mentioned the views of the father the teacher just assumed he was homophobic) and that we were taught we should rebel against his father!), they talk about the failures of the justice system and the feminism issue was taken right to the extreme and conveyed the overthrow of society's values and how its good to be revolutionary, The Bell Jar frequently talked about dislike for men and this world should be overthrown so women have much more power although in that time it was appropriate it is not now, women have equal rights now! teaching women they should be revolutionary and that they dont have equal rights is completely leftist slant. Everything they talked about was a tangent to taking drastic revolutionary steps which i dont think is right children should be taught how to make decisions and not what the decisions they should make. I fully support democracy and the key to democracy is equal rights so the fact that you implied otherwise is ludicrious! Im saying there should just be a limited discussion on homosexuality the school should just say that it exists and that there should be tolerance for gays thats it nothing more nothing less. Making the topic readily discussed is is unneccessary and just going to make matters worse homosexualiy is a private issue and should stay like that making it openly discussed and addressed in schools will just make it more of a problem for those who are gay because they just want to be left alone and in peace and also schools are also meant to play an academic role you cant assess someone on thier tolerance for gays and is also a hard topic for most students to indentify with therefore hard for students to be interested in and gain better marks! Homosexuality should only be discussed in the religous studies in a proper context not in english!
In summary homosexuality is a topic that should preferably be discussed by parents or if mentioned in school be in the relgious studies you cant assess someone on that topic in english its unfair to most students and is likely will make those gay students uncomfortable in thier schooling environment.
