I liked Piers too so it's a shame he's gone. The Mirror's anti-war stance was a good thing but it does look like he made a serious error of judgment. After this cock-up, I expect they'll bring in someone who wont rock the boat, and with the BBC also scared to put a foot out of line, it's not looking good for the British media at the moment.
