When I actually read, I really enjoyed Tom Clancy. "Cardinal and the Kremlin" and "Hunt For Red October" in particular.

"Johnny Got His Gun" -Dalton Trumbo (Ever hear the song "One" by Metallica? Yeah, they ripped it off this story.)

Currently, I'm reading "The Art of Deception" by Kevin Mitnick. Interesting read about social engineering, etc. Figured it might be a decent supplement for my new major.

I prefer Stephenson's Snowcrash. His vision of the Metaverse takes into account the mainstreaming of the internet, which The Sprawl Trilogy doesn't really think about.

You have to be mighty pretentious to name your main character Hiro Protagonist.
