Interesting and intellectual reads on the net... hook me up?

I'm not looking for "teh funnay interweb thingies" type stuff here folks. I'd like to find a few good reads that don't have a punchline. I'm not exactly looking for straight up news. Editorial stuff is good, as long as it's not of the Maddox variety. Fiction is definitely cool too. Basically, I'm just trying to find some interesting and intellectual reads on the net. (Hooray for redundancy!)
