First computer:
Atari 400
Sweetness. Used cartridges for things like Basic and games. More "sophisticated" software ran off of casettes. It took like 20 minutes to load Bruce Lee, but it was totally worth it. Still works.
First "real" computer:
IBM PC - Model 5150
Dual 5.25" disk drives, baby! Hard drives are for suckers! 4.77 MHz of pure performance power! A whopping 64K of RAM! I remember that we spent like $1000 at some point to upgrade the RAM to 128K so we could get one of those newfangled "mice". This machine is now in pieces, as it was my first "take shit apart and see if you can put it back together" failure.Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.Comment
