I know He had alzheimers for 10 years. Longest living President. Really took a chunk out of the Cold War, eased relations with China, really did a lot for America. He was a great president.
Reagan was probably the only president who was popular and was justified in being popular. People still talk about him. And clinton doesnt count, anyone can get a BJ but not anyone can kick ass like reagan.
During the entire span of my life, I believe Reagan, despite his questionable economic policies, has been the most respectable and admirable president we've ever had.
I can't say I respected Clinton all that much. The Bushes even less. Reagan showed real leadership qualities. I like that.

Indeed it is a sad moment for Americans. And I realize almost most of us Americans who play SS were born under his presidency, which makes him an extra special guy in my point of view. R.I.P. Ronald Reagan.
Yeah, last night I was watching the Calgary vs Tampa Bay hockey, and when the shitty anthems started, I flicked over to find a newsflash about the poor git.

his administration spawned iran-contra, funded afghan "freedom fighters" turned 9/11 terrorists (mastermind mohammed omar with the eye patch), selling weapons for hostages...etc.
i don't want to drown out the good he did for our country, as well as all the great things he did for the world. i know that sounds cliche, but it's true, he made a tremendous impact at home and abroad, like a real president should. however, as charismatic and strong a person he was, as a president, he was no angel.
No president has been an angel, and with the power they have, the constant critisism surrounding them, and the allegations following them, it's hard to even stay respectable. Ronald Reagan was a great president, though I don't think he's the best one to ever lead this country (FDR, Lincoln?), I am very proud to have lived under his leadership.
