The truth about the Lakers

A little under 4 minutes to go in the game, and let's take a look at the numbers:

The refs have tightened up on Shaq like they needed to, and he picked up his fifth foul early in the fourth quarter.
He's 0-for-2 from the free throw line tonight. Who needs Hack-a-Shaq when he can't do anything off of the line anyway?
62 total points for the Lakers.

This from a so-called "dynasty" team. gg.

[EDIT] 88-68. I hurt from laughter. The Lakers just played the most pathetic game I've ever seen in the playoffs.

This game was worse than game 1.

Pathetic.

The key was the way they shut down Kobe since the 1st quarter.

None of the starters stepped up, and we all know the Lakers bench sucks.

If you West lovers haven't noticed... the Lakers aren't that good. They're one shot away from being down 3-0, but they have Kobe. And now they're stuck in a tough town for four more days.

We even busted Darko on them.

Detroit takes it in 5. The Lakers can't play in the Noise Factory. This series won't even go back to L.A. And if it does, the Pistons will "steal" another at Staples Center.

I don't have to be cool to observe the fact that the Lakers are a sad joke who shouldn't even be in the finals.

The Spurs and Wolves are both better teams than the Lakers. L.A. is a two-man show, but unfortunately, basketball requires five players. Maybe they'll figure that out soon.

The blowout win unfortunately means nothing (other than that the Lakers are underachievers and lack passion, but we already knew that).

The Lakers only need 1 game of the 3 to get home court advantage back and the Pistons will have to go back to LA and win there. Not an easy task against a team that's been there before (and the only coach that can motivate these guys to another *yawn* championship).

I'm praying Detriot can finish it in 5.

No sweat. The Lakers are about as passionate and motivated as a bunch of sloths right now. It will all come down to game 4, and the raucous Pistons fans will find a way to ensure that the Lakers don't get the sleep they need to recover from last night's humiliation. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard about that, but it was really a smart move on the part of the fans.

Ezor called it first, but I'm agreeing and saying Pistons in 5 because the Lakers just seem too apathetic to win any more games.
