I said to solo the towns for lag and ease of use. Its not fun to run through a field of heads and name tags looking for one special name. If you wanna talk to the masses you have a town square where everyone sits in.

There is already talk of private chat areas and private games for chatting purposes and trade. I'm wondering how the whole server deal is going to work, and I'm wondering how expensive it's actually going to be.

In Ultima Online it was hard to move around in highly populated areas but with any MOG this can't be avoided. The central spot in UO was the bank at Britian, people came there to buy items, sell items and buy/sell tammed animals. People could use other cities to access NPC and their banks though (Almost all of the other cities were deserted). The whole aspect of it being a market place was fun and from playing Star Wars Galaxies for a few months, it looks like a norm for these kind of games.

I won't try it, because my comp just can't handle it.

I bought Morrowind + it's 2 new mingames/quest if you will (tribunal and bloodmoon) and my comp has had massive issues with them, i know i'll play them whenever i upgrade but i doubt that'll be any time soon.

I also have wicked D2 chars but they're all going to reset because i didn't bother to play any of them recently.

Same I haven't touched my d2 chars in along time, I doubt they are still there. Morrowind is fun :up:. I think heatha was saying something about guild wars I remember playing that game during e3 but if it's the one I remember which was like diablo but with some of the best graphics I've seen and a nice gameplay. You grab a bunch of guys and start fighting through a level together, although I'd get bored of doing this after awhile it seemed like a fun game for the short time I played it. Star Wars Galaxies is just shit, I use to make jokes at Kolar because we use to have a mining operation in UO and when he got Star Wars Galexies the first thing he did is go out and set up mines and sit back and watch his mines collect resources, although in UO to mine you had to click every time you wanted to mine.

Novemeber at the earliest is my understanding. This is extrapolated from the last push release notes that say there's still 5 months of closed beta left (so assume 5 months closes, 1 month open, then release. November here we come).

If they take 5 months to tinker with the PvP, add another 20 or so levels worth of quests, put in the talent system, and add all the little blizzard touches everyone's come to expect, it's going to be one hell of a game.
