    Hey fellow Canadian players!
As you may of known (I hope so) the election is coming...the 28th I think...and I was wondering; Who are you voting for? and if you are to young, who would you be voting for if you were legal age?

Personally, I would vote for the Liberals. The only thing they have done wrong was the sponsorship scandel, and it wasn't totally their fault. Liberals for Win
    the price is right, bitch.

We have a queen yes, but we signed this thing called the 'Constitution of 1982', and it separates Canada from Britain. We have a 'Governor General' who acts as the Queen that is in Canada, that only does some things, he trys not to disturb us.
          the price is right, bitch.

I'd vote for the bloc Quebecois since im from quebec. heheheh
But seriously, those 2 sides are different, conservatives want more armies, and liberal is aiming for more health. It's kinda what you think is better. Actually, i think our health service is waaaaay much better than any other countries.

I want a party that will be fiscally responsible, but with a solid sense of morality. This is how I view each party:

                      Conservatives
Most likely to improve or at least stabilize the economy. Good for those in favor of a more diverse choice when it comes to education and health (ie those who have money). Best choice if you care a lot about tax cuts and traditional values. Normally this is the party I vote for .... but this election I don't like the party united with the "radical right". Even though it does not directly affect me, I support same sex marriages and womens right to choose. I also don't support increased military funding or closer ties with America.

                      Liberals
Been in power for so long because they take the middle ground in policy. Most people have been happy with the staus quo and didn't mind the Liberals because they were adaquate (more than can be said for most governments). Then the Liberals had in party fighting, the sponsorship scandal and members of their own party leaving. I wouldn't necessarily mind the Liberals remaining in power because I don't want radical change, but I don't trust them either.

                      NDP
Well, what can I say about the NDP..... they don't let you decide how to spend your own money. If the NDP had their way, everything would be subsidized from car insurance to day care. Sounds great right? I mean the government will help pay for all these services for you. The only catch is, they have to tax, borrow, and surcharge the crap out of everyone to pay for it. In order to have something like car insurance subsidized or simply have it run by the government, you have to pay for research into the area, pay for commitees to debate about how best to do it, pay for government employees to run or monitor the system, and finally pay for subsidy itself. Governments/bureaucracies by their very nature are inefficient. Don't tax all my money away to support programs that I won't use or can't take full advantage of. Let me decide where my money goes, even if I have to pay $4,000 a year for car insurance, at least it's my decision to pay.

Sorry for the NDP rant. As an economist, I just can't stand their policies from a fiscal point of view. I actually support a lot of their ideas, but I'd like to keep some of my money.

So whem it comes down to it, I'll be voting for the Green Party because they recieve $1.75 in funding from the government for every vote they get. I just don't like any of the choices....

I think that a minority government might actually turn out to be a good thing for our current climate. History shows that people usually turn to the Liberals because there's something they don't want to support in the other parties, but this time people feel the same way about them. The Liberals have been in power too long that they've become arrogant, and yet there are parts of the other platforms that outright scare me. With a minority government, there's a better chance of the Liberals being held in check. Under parliamentary law, the Governer General decides who leads a minority government, and odds are she'd hand the reins back to Martin, who is generally accepted to be the best leader of the major parties, politics aside. How long a minority government will last is hard to say. They usually don't last that long, and with the NDP and the Conservatives being near polar opposites, things will likely hinge on how the Bloc chooses to swing.

I really don't want to get started on politics because when i do, I usually end up going insane on everyone. So I'll keep it simple.

Conservatives- Vote for these douches if you are a greedy son of a bitch that only cares about furthering your own wealth. Expect privatization of everything so huge companies will run the show, not the people. Tax cuts for the rich, and for companies, regular shmoes don't get shit. Even worse healthcare and education for normal people. Nothing will be put into the environment, and we'll be further assimilated into the American way of life. Take a look at the past of their leader, he's almost a freaking nazi for god sakes.

NDP- The greedy assholes probably won't like these guys because they might have to pay more taxes. Personal wealth goes down for the good of the country. Lots of focus on education, healthcare, taxing of big companies so the money pool is balanced out a bit more. More focus on democracy and the government, instead of the nazi conservatives who will let the private sector run the show. Vote for these guys if you want to be less like America, and more like the best country in the world.

Liberals- meh.. the median between those two i guess. The liberals are leaning far too much to the right though. Not as good as the NDP, far better than the conservative fatcat SOB's. The whole sponsorhip scandal was all completely blown out of proportion by the conservatives so they could cheat their way into more votes.
