why do you need to find one single guy to blame? You win as a team and you lose as a team... He fought hard every game, was mad skilled on all the set pieces (except maybe some of the freekicks) probably won every headduel etc etc...

I've calmed down a bit now. You can't rely on referees to get everything right, you have to play better than the opposition to deserve to win. We didn't. Our midfield was all over the place. Portugal played well today, at least as good as us, and their penalties were better than ours. I was mainly looking forward to England stuffing the French in the final, but now we're out I hope Portugal win this (and stuff the French). Can't think of another team I'd like to win it more.

I'm still fucked off though and it's a shame we won't see anymore of Rooney.

Having seen what's crawled out of the woodwork, I take it all back. Anyone except France or Portugal to win.
