Yeah, I'm sure scum are holding a party in their chat about how easy it was to get a fucking Vanilla Townie with some narrative flavor to claim.....

Jessup NOT claiming fucked town over this phase 1000x more than her claiming from the very beginning or simple keeping quiet would have. The entire phase was wasted on Jessup for no reason at all. The win for scum was both the fact that Jessup decided her VT role was so important that it was worth derailing the entire phase over and also how long it took for Jessup to claim after she pulled all this bullshit.

Still, there's a positive to be taken away from it. Jessup derailling the thread showed a few key people to be extremely scummy in how they've reacted to her bullshit, and I don't mean the people trying to lynch her. I'm talking about those that hid the entire game in the background doing absolutely nothing, not even taking a stance on Jessup. Some scum would obviously avoid trying to lynch Jessup both because it's Jessup (better to keep her around until the endgame if possible) and also because they'd know she was a mislynch already. They'd also not exactly defend Jessup either, because any townie dying is better than scum, so they'd stay on the fence and not take a stance. Gripe, Fis, Missa, etc all fit this bill.

So, you said before that you thought gripe was scummy. Want to vote him now? You can't abstain forever. Take a stance somewhere.

Alright, I just finished catching up. I was about to blast Jessup some more in the same vein as Voth, since i was feeling the same levels of frustration when I read what field said about Jessup's role, while Jessup was still refusing to claim. Honestly, what the fuck did we just waste this day on? Assuming Jessup is telling the truth, we wasted the entire phase on narrative bullshit? Honestly, if this was a large game, I'd say we should policy lynch her asap. Jessup literally lied about the bomb bullshit, lied about having an important role, lied about being able to choose who mjollnir goes to (she now claims it's random), and wasted the entire day playing coy about her being what's essentially a glorified Vanilla Townie role.

There is good news however, because there is still obvious scum sitting there, ready for lynching. Yes, I'm talking about Gripe. What the fuck has he done all game? He's done less than Ixt, Fis, and Missa combined. He's put in zero effort to vote anyone, scum hunt anyone, or do a damn thing besides play Captain Obvious with his 'game state' posts that are completely fucking useless. He won't even call a single person scum in this game, and he's been ignored by practically everyone, and not just because Jessup has narcassistic personality disorder. He's been ignored by his scum buddies in my view.

Instinct is telling me Jessup isn't lying but idk. On one hand if we lynch her and she flips town, there are a few players to look at tonight. She flips scum there are a few players to look at. We don't lynch her and maybe we learn valuable info from her role tomorrow.

Fucking Captain Obvious right here. In other words, 'instinct' (or his alignment?) was telling Gripe that Jessup isn't lying, but if we lynch her and she flips literally any alignment, something happens. Well, thank fuck that Gripe was here to tell us that while fulfilling his 1-post a day requirement. God knows what we would've done without him.

I think scum would hold on to any information they have, and they wouldn't openly discuss that as they can say something wrong and reveal themselves.
