FK Partizan dates back to days of communism in the Balkans. The team was original formed by communist leaders and has continued to shine eversince. In 1991 their biggest rivalry FK Crvena Zvezda won the Uefa Champions League. The soccer teams of Serbia & Montenegro went on a 13-14 year drought until FK Partizan finally made the Champions League in 2004. Unfortunately the team fell out in the first round and is now getting ready to face Oteul (Romania) in Uefa Cup. The biggest event in Serbia & Montenegro is the derby between
FK Partizan and FK Crvena Zvezda
This trully exemplifies what European soccer is all about, fans take their sides within the stadium and cheer on their players. After the game Grobari and Cigani (FK Crvena Zvezda) hold riots, block up roads and light fireworks. After the game is done the fans of both teams merge into massive crowds and fight eachother.
