Yea I've listened to a few Falconer songs awhile ago and it was good stuff. Sounds odd but some of Blind Guardian songs reminded me of Queen from back in the day (you know the Flash Gordon theme song is :up: ). They also did the cheesy Highlander theme song, but I prefer BG over them anyway. Thanks for the album suggestions, I'll have to check them out.


And MT, do you not like industrial metal, or just Fear Factory? Archetype and Demanufacture are sweet albums IMO, but I like Archetype better. I don't see how Korn's self titled album is more " hardcore" than Soul of a New Machine, or even Demanufacture. Also, you never said whether or not you like melodeath. I've only listened to Soil Work in the melodeath genre, but if you have any other suggestions towards it (anyone, not just MT), I'd be happy to check them out. Another thing, have you listened to Pantera? Vulgar Display of Power is a good album to check out if you havent.

Melodeath i like: vehemence, hypocrisy (by far my favorite), in flames, detonation... probly more just cant think right now. Idk if you consider black dahlia murder, darkest hour, entombed, kalmah, opeth, amorphis, and children of bodom; melodeth - i like them too.

I just saw that you put some of your albums in red, just because of the " fagasses". Why do that if you are so adamant about being close minded and standing by your beliefs?

The red is what i own but its what i used to like or just bought because of collecting, or personal reasons.

Its taken from the log of all the cds i have, i just thought i would copy the whole log down instead of taking out the CRAP for you fagasses. If i woulda know i would catch shit for having it in there i would have taken it out.

Its not the fact that people post the bands they like, but when they say my list sucks, i dont have this, why do i have that, then I will flame back, if they cant handle it they shouldnt of started it.

Oh yeah I wanted to express my surprise that noone's heard of Sinergy. It's awesome! But noone's heard of it! It's pretty much power metal. If anyone's heard of Children of Bodom, which I expect a lot of you have, Alexi Laiho the guitarist/singer plays guitar for Sinergy too, though his girlfriend/wifey Kimberly Goss does the singing. It's awesome stuff. I recommend listening to their first album, Beware the Heavens. It's the best in my opinion, but the other two are still good.

Can't go wrong with lyrics like "She-demons in latex taking pleasure from your agony!"... That said I think PJ might like them a lot... :up:

Geez, i'm kinda late as of lately regarding posting. Or sth. Anyway, since I might be considered an authority regarding (black) metal, i have to add my 2 cents. Yeah, metal was fun, once you're over 20 and actually start thinking, it gets more and more boring. Over half of the albums I have are pissing me off one way or another, be it cliches or simple mind-bobbling stupidity.
Btw PJ, talking about ridiculous metal, go for Kingowar. Can't miss with them. Listen carefully and die of laughter while the guy squeaks "they dieeeed!". Once you hear it you'll know what i mean

Btw. Emperor's Into The Infinity of Thoughts is the best BM song ever. Go rabble on.

You're just listening to the wrong metal. I'm 22 and I've moved on from the pure aggro death shit, to the more techincal/prog bands like Spastink Ink, Disillusion, Ayreon, Symphony X, etc. Nothing wrong with the over the top metal, it has it's place when you're in that mood. Not all metal is the same mind numbing simplistic shit simply because it's called metal.
