The closest I've come to hacking is going on one of those websites with 50 million porno adverts and download one of those things that lets you play a computer game without the cd in, rock and roll!Originally posted by Facetiousedit: (Money just PMed me his address so I can go to Houston and fight him)

Read this: http://www.mithral.com/~beberg/manifesto.html
And then read this: http://www.mithral.com/~beberg/hacker.html
True hackers are not malicious. I fucking hate the shadow that ignorant script kiddies have cast over those who remain true to the roots of hacking.jasonofabitch loves!!!!

The term cracking was made up by hackers (introduced on usenet in the early eighties) to distinguish between general programming enthousiasts and "malicious hackers", because the press, in their mind, was misusing the term hackers to signify this group of "malicious hackers" specifically. Unfortunately it didn't really make any difference, because the general public still now refers to hackers, whackers, crackers, phreakers etc. simply as "hackers". And, ofcourse, they're not wrong. They simply don't bother making distinctions.
Don't bother looking for crackers here, because they simply don't register to forums like this. The best you can hope for here, are people that happend to stumble onto Sub7, Backorifice or any similiar backdoor programs, and used it to mess with some friend's computer.
As for hackers, well technically anyone that's and expert at, or enthousiastic about basically anything could be refered to as a hackerThere's no place like 127.0.0.1

That manifesto has a little too much leftover teenage angst. Whoever wrote it seems pretty darn angry at "the man".
