Though ToS got bad ratings, I'd have to recommend Suikoden 3 for you RPG-goers. Real awesome, not EXTREMELY linear, bartering system, and item forging. Battles have some extra twists as well.♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

I can't even really stand to play console RPGs anymore. I used to play them all the time, and I first played Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior in the 80's. Nowadays I am bored to tears by most console RPGs. I don't even remember the last RPG I finished. I got close to the end of FFX (entering Sin) but I just quit playing and never played it again.
Actually I don't really play videogames anymore besides Subspace and maybe occasionally a computer game or two.sdg

One more word on Star Ocean 3 that may sway your decision on buying it, Liquid:
The game has a "Battle Trophies" system where you get credit for performing certain feats like defeating a certain boss in less than a minute or finishing a battle using only minor attacks. There are lots of trophies you can earn and reaching certain amounts of trophies will unlock different costumes for your characters. The downside is that the save file for the trophies takes up about 1 mb of your memory card space on top of your save game files. If you really want to take full advantage of the game, make sure you have the memory space first.

I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

If you wanna go try Phantom Brave, be warned, this game is freakishly huge. I mean, if you have 100+ hours to spend for this game, then go for it, you'll love it. But, you'll feel overwhelmed and you'll never beat this game until you're old and grey ... if you actually do anything inbetween those 100 hours.DELETED

I bought ToS today. I'm going to beat the final chapter of Disgaea and then check it out. I plan on getting PB and SO3 eventually. I also have La Pucelle, but didn't like the battle system. It wasn't my thing and I stopped playing after about 5 hours in. I'll play it again later. My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen.
