A little boring for things to do, other than go to the river(during spring/summer/fall there is a party there every weekend(I dont go to them )) movies, etc. There is more to do in places like Fargo/Grand Forks. Bismarck is quieter, and less crime.

This is the best place I have ever lived. I have been up here for alittle over a year now, and I can vouch for anybody that has visited here, it is the best place to live... ever. Now, now... Your thinking, "Isnt it always cold and snowy there?".. Hell no... In summer its 60-70 degrees, no snow. In winter there is so much to do... Snowmachine, Snowboard, Skii, Ice Climb, Ice Hockey, Skate... Even stuff you cant do in the snow they have it here... If you want fishing, this is the place for you, or if you need a spot to relax, Alaska is your destiny. There are so many amazing sights to see here in Alaska, some include: Alaska Wildlife (Moose, Caribou, Muscox, Black Bear, Brown Bear, Lynx, so many more..), Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)... Ive experienced Northern Lights first hand... It was really illuminating to see it slither across the sky. Other sights to see and some other activities to do: Climb any mountain, Ride the Alaska Railroad (Cool, kind of boring), I cant think right now but theres alot more... . There are so many hot girls here... Hull Breach lives close to me, he can tell you about Alaska too, Hull is a Native Alaskan, so hes been here all his life. Well... There is so much more to talk about but... Ya know I got other stuff to do... So think about Alaska... its a cool place to live. :up:

Edit: Oh I read through some of the other posts... There is alot of Job opportunities up here, I live on a Military base, Close to downtown Anchorage, everything is close to my house. ALOT OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES... Also there are bums on like 3 of every 4 corners, its fun to point and laugh.
One of the bums I saw ... His sign said "I wont lie, I need money for boose". Where the hell do they get the Markers for this shit? Geez.

I'm from New York and im damn proud of it.... born and raised here i know almost the whole state and ive lived half my life on Long Island and half my life ...sadly... against my will... upstate new york.

Long Island: Many jobs, good pay, and lots of people (diverse).. but a huge problem with long island is the cost of living... the cost of houses here have increased dramatically. It is so expensive to live here... but once u sell a house here u can move anywhere. Lots of good schools too like Hofsta (annux) SUNY Stony Brook (dock>) , CW Post, LI Uni. and good old Nassua / Suffolk County Community Colleges (mine). Here its about 40 min from NYC so there is violence and shit like that... but u can life in a nice neighborhood if u wanna pay for it. Many smart people have came from Long island schools. Also many beautiful beaches... Long Island has a beach in the top 10 in the world on it.


Upstate New York: Shitty... tons of cows... and alcoholics and hicks. I hated it there... and i hate the ignorant people there still. CNY smd.

Pensacola/Navarre/Destin/Fort Walton Beach strip is where it's at. Beautiful beaches.

White sand, clear water, and absolutely beautiful. At the very least a great vacation spot.

alaska looks awesome. I think it's the only place in the US that I want to go to that I haven't seen yet. I think next spring I might take one of those alaskan cruises. If I could get the time off, I'd love to make the drive, but I don't think that'll happen any time soon.

Seems like a good option for you jason, probably one of the best drives in north america, but make sure your bus is reliable (or skip the bus and get something reliable).

South dakota is pretty cool to drive through, especially if you take a detour through the badlands (we had to wait 5 minutes for a giant mean looking buffalo to step out of our way at one point, I was pretty scared because he didn't look cute and fuzzy like the ones at yellowstone, he looked like a real mean motherfucker and he probably coulda rolled our car if he wanted to).

maryland is good the cost of living is small n if u find an apartment its cheep and good... weather gets chilly in the winter but thats it. if u like here its a big + to like to go out on boats... its relaxed here i like it
