I just read in the newpaper that US midfielder DaMarcus Beasley scored for PSV Eindhoven in his first start ... and I was wondering how many US players play for Euro teams? And are any of them pretty good?

List of Americans playing abroad: link
Video clips of PSV Eindhoven goals so far this season (this guy updates the website immediately after games, so it's a nice resource if you need): link

To answer your question, yeah, some of them are pretty good. We (Americans) have had a pretty recent honeymoon with playing overseas, particularly ater the World Cup. Previously there were only a few hard-nosed bastards eeking out a living over there; now some teams are doubling up on us. Here's a list of guys you could probably defend as "earning their keep" over there with the best of them:
Beasley - Still settling in, but he'll be just fine there.
Bocanegra - Rough start, but he's playing regularly now.
Cherundolo - Regular starter now on a shitty team but in a good league.
Convey - Not doing it yet, but just got there. Supposed to light the place up once he gets going, and he can.
Donovan - American wonderkid recalled to Germany this winter. Should be interesting.
Friedel - Been in England long enough to get a phony accent. Pretty fucking good at what he does.
Howard - Greatness, then sadness, then greatness, then sadness again. Hopefully finds a way to stay great at some point.
Keller - Better than people give him credit for, and people give him decent credit. Second choice now and wants a transfer.
Mathis - Talented but wayward.
McBride - Talented but old.
O'Brien - Talented but inujry prone (to put it mildly).
Reyna - American captain, great on international level, occasionally great on club level (occasionally not).
Spector - Reserve team, but already mentioned in the manager's plans for the future.

Stewart has play here in holland for quite some time. In other news: O'Brien is back and last saturday he played is first whole match with Young Ajax. So lets cross our fingers and hope he doesnt get kicked out in the first match again . He is quite good. And with the big possibility of Maxwell leaving Ajax this winter, or after this season atleast, he will have a big chance of being starter again.Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.
