1. Driving in a city is so god damned fun
2. Alternative ways of doing stuff

I always thought of the GTA series as too cartoony. It's okay for a while, but the gameplay get's old pretty quick. What I mean is, there is such a thing as too much freedom. After you finish the storyline (which isn't really intense to begin with) there is no sense of purpose. After all, you can only do so many jumps or deliver so many pizza's before it get's repetitive. I think Mafia, which is kind of the same concept, was WAY better.

Exactly.It's mediocre. It's brought nothing new to the table, people only flip out because it's one of what, 3 FPS's on Xbox. If it came out on PC it would get drowned under MOH games, UT, CoD, CS, basically a shitload of FPS's with large fanbases.Originally posted by Dameon Angell

Surprisingly, I love GTA. I just like to get cool cars and drive around though, I don't like killing people.
My brother got San Andreas the day it came out of course. So I haven't been able to get near the PS2. It looks pretty cool though, from watching him and my little brother play.Pandagirl!

There's a lot more missions now because of the three cities, and they've only expanded on the variety of the missions in the previous games.
