I sure as hell wouldnt call a chip like the AMD FX-55 "cheap", hell it costs well over 900usd..

besides havent you heard, MHZ dont matter anymore. A64 3000+ at 2000mhz owns a 3.2ghz p4 in most benchmarks, and thats a "cheap" processor.

3.2ghz P4 is only around 200usd.

I still havent got my new system, because the X800XT PE AGP cards are still not available in retail stores, because of various alleged production problems (flip-chip-substrate shortage, gddr3 shortage etc.). The PCI-E regular X800XT cards are available, but the appropriate motherboards are not.
It's completely ridiculous that these graphics cards are still virtually unavailable a good 5 months after the chipset was launched. According to the latest news these shortages will continu well into next month.

AMD has owned Intel roughly since the introduction of the Athlon XP.

After 5 mins of choosing on dell.com i ordered this labtop and it was delivered 3 days later. Altered the startup loading-picture of winXp and the background, plus removed the startup-shutdown sounds.

Also thought to modify the machine a bit more and put this funny little golden symbol on the desktop and when i click on it i can play subspace.

Not only does wood look nice, but I can't form metal because I have no exuipment for it. Wood also has a high density so if you want to make a quiet case, it's perfect. Heavy and thin-soft and thick-hard and thick is the best way to isolate sound (the first of those on the inner side, the last most outward).
