I read up on quantum mechanics sometimes, and I remember reading about a year ago they actually were able to teleport a 'tainted photon' thru about 100 meters on a wire. actually from just skimming the link right now they say they only 'teleported' information or the 'characteristics' of a tainted photon. This technology would be very useful in instantaneous exchanges of information throughout the galaxy if and when we are able to spread out and colonize other solar systems. For that all they need to do is create a medium or somehow make the emittance of the proteries of said photon into some type of collapsing formula....they need to be able to compact more information into a photon's characteristic and also do it for millions of photons at the same time to make it practically useful. bah im a geek.
research is always good even if it is far fetched. it would of course create more questions then answers but finding out those questions sooner will make human enlightenment reach higher heights that more faster.
