I tried moving over to Opera, but a few things kept me with IE:

    - The very annoying banner which takes up too much space on my monitor

    - IE isn't very customizable but it's pretty much plug and play: You can tune it a little to fit your own taste but it's pretty ok as it is. Opera on the other hand is very customizable and it took me several hours to make it function at all like I wanted. You could fine-tune it forever

    - Opera opens only one window, so if you open a page in a new page you can't alt-tab between the pages.

5: RoboHelp> Are you nuts? You can't ban a staff member!

    5: Epinephrine> !ban da1andonly
5: RoboHelp> Staffer "da1andonly" has been banned for abuse.
    5: Epinephrine> oh shit

Alt tab? pft, Opera has mouse gestures, which let you go back, forth, reload, and switch in between tabs with just patterns of mouse clicks, like holding left click and clicking right, etc.

What about us poor mac users who can't alt-tab anyhow. or mouse gestures don't apply.

          Thanks firefox, you rule.

I don't think your problem lies in your internet browser in this situation

I remember getting firefox, but it was always slower to start up than I.E. so I uninstalled it.

that was the one reason I kept using IE for so long.. till I found out about the adblock extension and firefox themes. it pisses me off that themes are useless once a new version comes out, but I seriously like adblock.
